Carreg Cennen Castle & The Secret Cave History & Tour

Carreg Cennen Castle sits high on a remote rocky limestone crag in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The original castle was built in the second half of the 12th century, possibly by Rhys ap Gruffudd (The Lord Rhys), the ruler of the Welsh Kingdom of Deheubarth. It was later rebuilt around 1284.

Carreg Cennen Castle has seen its fair share of conflict being entangled in the conflicts between the Welsh and English and later involved in the War of the Roses.
