My latest solo motocamping adventure took me to one of my favorite camping spots in the world: Trout Creek Campground near Sweet Home, Oregon. This motorcycle camping trip was a blast. I got to attempt several new things on this trip, including motorcycle firewood loading and carrying (not pretty, but I got it done) and making a fire using wood shavings and a firesteel (with a minor assist from a Fatwood Stick). In this video, I also share my motocamping gear loading routine, camp setup, messaging while outside cell phone service using my Delorme InReach, cooking steak over the campfire, enjoying some bourbon and a "Mr. Puff Puff" (you'll have to watch the video to fully understand that reference and why it's necessary), hanging out enjoying the sunset by the river, camping coffee making, more hanging out by the river as I drink my morning coffee, packing up the camp, and heading home! Trout Creek is a beautiful campground featuring dense foliage, great campsites, and access to the South Santiam River. It's truly one of Oregon's underrated gems. Motocamping by myself on my Kawasaki Versys 650 is always a great time, but it's even more enjoyable when I can bring all of you along with me!
