Today we're going to be touring this cabin designed by Den Outdoors. We're right outside of
Smoky Mountain National Park in Pigeon Forge. We're going to be showing you all around this area.
Let's go check it out.
Today we're at the Nordic House right outside of Gatlinburg, Tennessee by the Good Host Company.
I featured one of their airbnbs many years ago up in the northeast. It was really cool
and now I'm here at their one. We're outside of Smoky Mountain National Park. You can see
the drone view. We're up on this mountaintop with the valley down below. This is Weir's Valley,
the more quieter side of this whole area, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge. And basically right
behind this mountain that we're on is the Smoky Mountain National Park area. I think it is the most
visited national park in the U.S., so there's a lot going on here. And typically we don't see this
Scandinavian modern type of cabin here in the Smoky Mountains, so this is a little bit unique.
I brought my family here for two nights, and we're about 15 minutes right outside of Pigeon Forge,
which I'll be showing you what we did there at the end of this video. But pulling up into the
property, we have blacked up all the way up to the cabin. We have this section of land here,
and the cabin towers over us. This is an extremely tall cabin, and it is the Den Outdoors Alpine
Cabin 2.2, I believe. I'm going to leave a link to Den Outdoors in the description below if you
want to check this out after this tour video. But on the exterior, we have the vertical wood
cladding, which is always a beautiful look, the black metal roof, and that kind of goes all the
way down on the sides. And we have a front deck right here, and when we walk up here, this is your
front door. And we'll walk inside and check this place out. Walking inside, we have the foyer area.
You can hang up your stuff here, put your shoes here, and then we can either go straight or up
the steps. We're going to save the upstairs for last, so we'll go straight. And this is the hallway
all along the right side of this cabin. And on this right side of the hallway is your entire
kitchen space. Immediately, we have the refrigerator and freezer right here, a huge glass window in
front of the sink in the middle, and then we have a dishwasher. There's an oven here as well,
floating shelves, they leave coffee. The whole typical kitchen setup, it's right here all along
this wall, very modern looking. And then on the back side of this, there's a lot of doors to
explore. The first one is just a closet space, and the second one is the bathroom. So this is the
first full bathroom, very typical layout with your vanity, the toilet, and then your tiled shower with
a bathtub. It is nice to have the bathtub here, and this one's for the main floor. And then walking
out of this, we have one more door, and this is your first bedroom space. Very simple bedroom,
the bed on the right side, there's your own AC and heating unit right above your bed, which is
just amazing for sleeping. TV, some lights, there's a spot to hang up some of your clothes, which is
nice to have in an Airbnb. And overall, very simple bedroom. And we can walk out of this, and at the
end of the hallway past the kitchen, we make it to the living room space. Vaulted ceilings in here,
glass windows that take up this entire wall, and then the couch, which is pretty comfortable by
the way, on this left side. Plenty of space for your guests that will be here. There's two bedrooms
in here, so you can sleep four guests, and plenty of room in here for that. Cool fireplace they have
on the right side, and they converted it to electric fireplace for those nice winter months. And then
on this other wall, we have your dining option. Barstool seating all along this wall for four.
There's a TV above that, and overall, that is your living room space. Very convenient that it's right
next to your outdoor space, which I'm sure you'll be spending a lot of time in. We can open up these
two sliding glass doors, and this takes you out into your outdoor deck space. We're in the back of
the property now. It's pretty private back here. This deck space has your picnic table, a grill,
and another outdoor fire pit. This one's propane, so you can just turn it on with ease, sit in these
two chairs, enjoy your time. Me and my family had dinner one night out here on the picnic table,
and it was really nice. And that's not all though. You can walk down these steps, and we make it into
the hot tub section of the deck space. Open up this lid, nice blue water hot tub. You gotta have a
hot tub here if you're staying near the National Park and Gatlinburg area. Very convenient, and you
get a good look at the hot tub and the towering cabin right here behind us. So that is your entire
outdoor space here, which is fine because there's so much to do outside of this cabin, you probably
don't want to be spending all your time here. So we'll walk back inside though. We have more to
explore, and that's the upstairs. So the stairs right off your front door. We'll walk up these
steps. This is your main bedroom space. It takes up this entire floor. Walking through this door,
we have the king bed right here in front of us. Nice stands on both sides. You can see how much
room there is in this bedroom. There's the tv, there's a spot to hang up your clothes on some
hangers, which is really convenient. And there's even a desk back here in the nook, if that's
needed for you. I put my kid's crib back here, Bishop, when we were sleeping. He fit perfectly
back there, and it was great. There's also an ac and heating unit in here as well to get the crispy,
cold bedroom, so you sleep so good and so hard. It is awesome. There is an attached bathroom up here
as well. So in here, very similar to the last bathroom with the vanity, the toilet, and then
this is a fully tiled shower with a nice waterfall showerhead inside. It's great that this can be
attached to the main bedroom. And then one last thing, before we entered into this room, there's a
closet space outside, and this is where your washer and dryer is at, which they do leave stuff for you
to use. So that really completes the Airbnb here. It has most of everything you would need for a
comfortable stay. If you're wanting to come to the Smoky National Park area, if you're not a fan of
the log cabins and that type of aesthetic, then maybe this one is for you. So we are about 15
minutes from Pigeon Forge, and if you've never been, this is like amusement park tourist central,
basically. There's Dollywood, there's a water park, there's a lot to do if you like to spend money
here. We went to a nice park and had fun with my kids, very high quality park with the turf. They
had a football field, basketball court, a lot of people here enjoying their time, and then we did
something extremely fun. We did the Alpine Roller Coaster, I think is what it's called. It's the
nation's longest downhill coaster. Me and my son, we rode in the same cart, which was really cool
that you can do that, and when you start, it takes you all the way up the hill. This is about half the
ride. Right when you get to the top, you get released, and you can control your speed of the
coaster. We have brakes on it ourselves, so if you wanted to go slower, you can, or if not, you just
leave the brakes off the whole time, and you really ride down this mountain, going around the curves,
going around the trees. Me and my son loved this, and you can see at the end how excited Weston was.
How was it? Good. You loved it? And crazy. Crazy? If you're here, you got to do that. It was $24
for me and Weston to do it together. Not bad to do it, he loved it. And then we also went to
the island, and this is like a spot you can walk around. It feels like an amusement park. There's
rides, there's the ferris wheel, there's dinosaurs everywhere, which my kid loved, there's restaurants,
there's shops just everywhere, and of course, the fountain here in the middle that gives you some
shows. This place is pretty cool if this is your thing, and this is basically the whole vibe of
the Pigeon Forge area. So if you want to check out this spot, there's so much to do. Unfortunately,
we didn't do any hikes in the national park, but there is that close by as well, relatively. So
a lot to do in this area. Check out the link down below if you want to explore this place at all,
and book this place. Anyway, thank you guys for watching this video. I will see you in the next one.
Weston, what'd you think? That was crazy. That was crazy.
