Whose Skull is this? - The Relics of St Eric of Sweden

This video looks at the extraordinary survival of the shrine and relics of St Eric of Sweden. St Eric, a 12th-century king known as Eric the Holy, became a patron saint of Sweden. Despite the Reformation, his relics were preserved in Uppsala Cathedral. The video explores Eric's life and his significance in Swedish history. It also describes the reliquary containing his remains, its design, and the scientific analysis of the bones in 2014, which confirmed their authenticity. The reliquary, a Renaissance masterpiece, was commissioned by Queen Catherine in the 1570s.
