Hello, I'm Jenna and I've been making videos about tiny houses, unique rooms and alternative lifestyles on this channel for over 10 years.
In recent years, a growing trend has developed in the tiny house community in relation to parking,
which is one of the biggest challenges that this movement has ever faced.
But the new chance we see is that more and more tiny house communities all over the country are taking to the streets.
In fact, we have presented over a dozen tiny house communities on this channel in recent years.
Therefore, I have decided to create a compilation video for you, so that you can see what each of these tiny house communities has to offer,
how much parking costs there and I hope that this video will help you to limit where you want to park your tiny house one day.
Before we look at the list ourselves, I would like to mention that these prices and amenities correspond to the prices and equipment available at the time of shooting in these communities.
That means, they have been in the last few years. Things can change over time.
We will link all websites in the description. We will also link our detailed community tours in the description.
So if you want to learn more about a specific community, I highly recommend that you watch the entire tour.
First, we start with one of the most popular tiny house communities that we have ever presented on this channel.
Kony Bell in Mills River, North Carolina.
We are of the opinion that this is the better option for many people who simply have their own space and still want to live at a affordable price.
Kony Bell is located in a beautiful location and offers a lot of amenities, including a community center and a dog park.
Gardens, hiking trails and one of my favorite things about this tiny house community is that there is quite a lot of space between the individual tiny houses.
You have your own little garden and can, if you want, build a shed or a terrace.
The next tiny house community we present is called Orlando Lakefront and is located in Orlando, Florida.
I bought the park in 2009. It began as a run-down caravan park in the 1950s and I took it over in this state.
I wanted to make it as beautiful as possible. Most people have probably been living here for three years.
There were residents who stayed for up to 13 years. I think that's our longest resident.
This is possibly the only tiny house community that has its own private construction site and its own boat that members of the community can use.
We have a clubhouse, a laundry room and a fireplace in the open. We have kayaks, paddle boats and a fishing pole.
Next, we move to another tiny house community in Florida. This one is a little smaller and is called Circle Pond.
I would like to encourage everyone in their community to be open-minded and to accept additional housing units as an addition to create living space.
We all play a role and we have to be nice to each other and give each other space. With only 12 parking spaces, this is a sworn community.
At the time of the shooting, there was a beekeeper and a microgreen breeder on site.
Further east in Tennessee is one of the largest tiny house communities in the country and that is Incredible Tiny Homes in Newport, Tennessee.
If you want to build a house on site and target the property directly, you are right here.
Because Incredible Tiny Homes also builds tiny houses on site in its complex.
We are still offering a house for $20,000, as I did at the beginning, and I hope that in the future I can also offer a house at a really cheap price for someone who needs something.
The tiny house industry simply has something that I don't think is super expensive. It should be affordable for everyone.
With over 700 available parking spaces in different quarters of the community, there is a large selection of rents here.
But basically you get what you pay for. And if you are one of the first to settle in this tiny house community, there are even special conditions that were practically free.
If we drive from Tennessee, Texas, to the west, we have several parking options for tiny house communities.
The first is the Vogelnest, a tiny house and motorhome community.
At some point I thought what we could need. And I had the feeling that we only needed a community for women.
I was not aware that I would still have best friends at the age of 65. And that's exactly who we are.
We are a community where you look out for each other. That's what you really wanted.
You are not only striving to provide affordable parking spaces, but also inclusive parking spaces and a safe place for women.
For this next tiny house park option we stay in Texas to visit Namaste Hightway, a tiny community in Funstein.
We wanted to build a community of accepting, like-minded people who feel safe and want to live on tiny.
It is a very open culture. In terms of age, gender and sexual orientation, everything is very open.
We only ask for two things. You are yourself and you respect other people in your environment.
Chuck and Molly are very thoughtful about how they build the community.
We can trust each other and rely on each other. It is pleasant and peaceful.
Our next tiny house community is located in Austin, Texas.
This tiny house community consists of half of tiny houses, half of a mobile home park and is located next to a farm.
So we have an organic farm on the site from which we can get food.
We also have a highly modern fitness studio.
On the property there are two swimming pools as well as a whirlpool and a sauna.
We have a laundry. We have a few dog parks, yoga and cooking courses, so many activities.
The idea behind it is that we have all these things right in front of our front door.
So we only have to go outside to enjoy the community rooms with the family and friends and bring all these things together in one place.
The original vision for Village Farm was to live in an agra, which is a very unique concept.
We want to bring people together in a place where they can live sustainably and do everything in their own community.
Next we go to Colorado, where we introduce Island Cuff, which has tiny houses and mobile homes.
Tiny houses have become more and more popular and we thought to ourselves,
why can't Island Cuff be this cozy, safe and beautiful area that is only reserved for tiny houses?
The most diverse people live here and I think that's what makes Island Cuff so special.
Everyone comes together and that was our dream from the beginning.
One of the most unique aspects of this tiny house community is that it has its own private island and is only 15 minutes away from ski resorts.
Did you know that we have 300 sunny days a year? You can ski here, you can enjoy the river, it's just very peaceful.
Straight down the street there is another tiny house community called Eskalante Tiny House Village.
Everyone who comes here originally pays $500 a month for their place plus side costs.
I believe that this is a place of residence for people who cannot afford a house for $600,000 or $700,000.
In addition, people can live the way they think is more sustainable for people who believe that we should have a smaller footprint.
Next, we go to Laxi, Arizona, which was still a tiny house community in development when we visited.
My inspiration for the creation of this place is affordability.
Up here in the mountains, the cost of living is unashamedly high. Our houses cost between 60,000 and 100,000 US dollars.
So people who may not earn 100,000 US dollars a year can also get up and actually find a beautiful place to live in a beautiful area.
Like in many tiny house communities, there are also tiny houses for short-term rentals here.
So I would like to encourage you to try out the community before you actually move there.
Most of our rental objects here are designed as test accommodations.
If you are on site, take a tour, stay a few nights, see if you like it and then decide whether you want to buy one.
Next, we move to California.
It gets a little more expensive here, but remember that it mainly depends on the situation.
The first stop is Tiny House Block in Mount Laguna, California.
We found an abandoned motorhome park that was in demand.
We bought it and began to slowly transform it into South California's first tiny house village.
This tiny house village is located directly on the PCT and offers a lot of natural beauty.
We particularly liked the fact that it is located on the Pacific Crest Trail.
Here you can really feel the nature.
It is one of the more expensive tiny house settlements on this list, but for South Californian conditions it is still affordable.
We stay in California, but go a little further north.
Next, we introduce you to Park Delta Bay, a tiny house settlement with a motorhome park.
I have never lived in a settlement before.
The residents of Park Delta Bay are very special people. I would not have expected that.
Further north we go to Oregon, where we introduce you to a village by the sea called Tiny Tranquility.
According to rumors, things are going so well there that it will soon open another location in North California.
There is a great demand for parks in this article.
I mean, there are a lot of people who prefer to be for themselves.
But I also think that there are a lot of people who appreciate the safety and comfort of neighbors and enjoy the community.
This tiny house village is something special because it has a huge greenhouse.
So if you love the beach and like to work in the garden all year round, this tiny house community may be just right for you.
The last tiny house community we are introducing today is actually the first tiny house community I have ever presented on this channel.
It is the Simply Home Tiny House Community in Portland, Oregon.
This is possibly one of the first tiny house communities that ever existed.
And it has an interesting background story in which a couple of friends bought a big house and put their tiny houses in the backyard.
They used the big house mainly as a community space.
This is a really fascinating way to create a community in the city.
If you are interested in doing something similar, I recommend you watch the video to learn about all the details.
I hope you enjoyed our overview of the tiny house village and the community.
We would like to make more such compilation videos.
So let me ask you what you want in our next compilation video.
And don't forget to subscribe to our channel and activate the bell so that you are notified every time we publish a new episode.
