Burn rubber not your soul. Ride within your limits and live your life. Be yourself and follow your heart until the end of the road. Be only in competition with yourself by being better than yesterday.
You guys are not speeding or something like that?
I mean, no I wouldn't say we're speeding.
I'm about to say, like, officer, I'm going to...
We got to meet up with Cornell, and then I think today, I'm kind of in the mood for it.
It kind of popped up in my mind this morning.
People want an updated wheelie tutorial.
Maybe I'll dabble into a few of my tricks that I personally use that work out for me.
You know, I'm not saying they're the right way or the wrong way, but...
And I also want to talk about kind of building your connection with your bike.
Which has allowed me to do certain things.
I don't know how long we're going to be out with Cornell, but...
You know, it's me and him. We just ride.
It's a little bit chilly today. It's not even 70 degrees.
I got out, I was like, ooh, that breeze kind of hit different.
You know what I mean? Like, that's a big tractor.
I was watching some old footage, and...
Sorry, I have gum in my mouth.
I feel like I got a speech impediment right now.
Impediment? Impediment?
You know what I'm talking about.
But it's actually kind of fun and funny.
Damn, dude, why can I not talk about one thing all the way through?
My mind's just like, here, here, here, here, here, here.
I haven't done a staggered wheelie in forever.
I've just been doing knee knockers.
Like, I completely forgot I had a peg back there.
And when you do a staggered versus a knee knocker, like, you have something you can put weight on.
You can balance your weight a lot better.
I think it'll be fun to break down, essentially, how I wheelie.
And how I've learned how to wheelie.
Judging that you've watched other wheelie tutorials, this is not for beginners.
Have the understanding of being able to use your rear brake when you ******* need it.
You don't need to be a master.
But you need to have enough control to say,
I'm uncomfortable, I'm hitting this rear brake.
Wear a jacket, wear a full suit.
You know I want you guys to be safe.
You gotta know your limits.
You gotta know how much percent you can give it.
You know, you shouldn't be out here on the streets giving it 100%.
You ever go upstairs or something, and then you get there and you're like,
Huh.
What the **** did I walk up here for?
I'm gonna move back over.
Go ahead.
I've been looking out for the cookout.
I got you.
Sometimes I feel like I can read the minds of cars.
Like, I don't know how to explain it.
You can tell by a car's acceleration and their intent and where they're at in the line.
If they move over slightly, you know, like, I don't know.
It's just, I don't know if it's like my hyper awareness.
Dude, I wish I understood fully how my brain works.
Like, sometimes I catch my mind actually making the calculations and the physics behind this stuff.
And I'm like, Whoa.
I went to up-shift and I was like, Huh?
What?
And that's what I mean with connecting with your bike.
It's to the point where second nature, I know exactly what gear I'm in.
Like, I'm like, Hold on.
This isn't 6th gear.
And I can tell by the way I'm rolling onto the throttle.
I can feel the throttle response.
That was a lot.
Oh, yeah.
I need to do that thingy thing.
S key right there.
Sorry.
The one thing about wearing a jacket is I don't have the mobility.
You can't bend the way you want to bend.
You can't float the way you want to float.
Your boy just trying to get the groove going.
You know what I mean?
That's why I bought an R1.
I want that instant power.
Oh, boy.
Oh, my heart.
Oh, my God.
I love your car.
Anyone watch One Piece in here?
I fairly binge One Piece.
I'm not going to lie.
Like I said, I watch one or two, but I end up watching like, you know, ten.
We got to hit staples first.
So we'll teach you today about stand-ups, which I'm doing right now.
You were low.
Really?
Yeah.
I mean, I felt low because it was a big, nice corner and I got my body off.
Was I like low low or?
I didn't.
No, no.
Like, like.
It's R1.
Isn't that a Bel Air?
If I'm not mistaken.
Oh, my gosh.
I miss this bike so ******* much.
Wait, that thing's really clean, actually.
Like really clean.
Damn, I think it's kind of cool.
Like everyone has their own little niche.
Like you don't have to like the niche that I like.
But if you have the same wealth, you know what I mean?
Like we all have passions and like seeing other people's passions.
I think that's the cool part.
And you got to respect it.
You know what I mean?
Like, at least I respect it.
You don't got to ----.
Am I rolling?
You're not rolling.
Am I rolling?
How many days has it been?
Two days.
Yo, he's bopping.
You see him getting into it?
That's what I want.
Get it, boy.
Get it, my boy.
Yes, that's what I want.
He's doing it all.
I want to be on his top.
Surprise, ************.
What's going on?
We got a report of two motorcycles speeding on.
And they pulled into the 7-Eleven.
You guys not speeding or something like that?
I mean.
I wouldn't say we're speeding.
What is going on?
Appreciate you.
Bro, how did you get here so fast?
That's what I'm saying.
Staples.
We get out of this area.
You live in Germany.
Yeah, they hungry today.
They are hungry today.
It's the end of the month.
Oh, that's why.
Yo, we out of here.
We got to go.
This one took a ******* nap.
No, but like respect.
Respect for sure.
But, you know.
It is what it is.
It's the end of the day.
No, we.
You know.
You might have slipped.
Excuse me.
Do you work here?
Oh, cool.
I didn't know that was logo.
Do you guys have 3M adhesive?
Oh, here we go.
Thank you.
Big Mountain, yeah?
It's not looking good.
That's what I thought when he pulled up.
You know what?
I'm going to organize my whole life right now.
I saw the price tag.
Imagine someone giving someone a $10,000 gift card.
What do you even do with $10,000?
That's State Farm.
They pulled out in front of me and I couldn't stop.
That's a little rough.
That's.
Some of them are smart.
What?
She definitely did like a slow roll by her.
No, no, but did you see she went?
She might be on, bro.
You never know.
She could have woke up, ate the edible.
You know what I mean?
Hit him with the.
All right.
So, what's up, boys and girls, mothers, fathers?
This is weird.
We got a mic on my camera.
OK.
That never gets old, bro.
Forget it.
I just wish I was on the S1000.
Let's finally dive into it.
This is going to come down to balance.
Now, it's not as bad because the bike is heavy.
You want to be on a flat ground.
If you are not on flat ground, you have to compensate for it.
This all ties back into connecting with the bike, understanding the bike,
understanding the movements that you need to do to compensate for it.
I feel like I have a lisp.
So, when I feel the bike going right, I'm going to lean left.
But I don't actually have a lisp.
You got to counter steer with your body.
This is not about being as still as possible.
You have to be loose.
You got to go with the flow.
Some of these things actually tie into literally life.
I live through my passion.
So, that means I look for the lessons I can learn in the passions.
And I also apply those to my daily life.
That's how you enhance your.
Hey.
I like that.
Husky, baby.
When you're on a 1000, a flick of the clutch is all you need.
That's all you need.
So, I'm going to drop it down to first.
Yeah, look at him talking.
Look at him talking.
And then I'm going to throw it up, hit second.
Right?
Yeah.
That's it.
The higher the bike is.
This is a lot harder than I thought it would be.
The less force you're going to need on the throttle.
The less RPMs you're going to need to keep it up there.
It's scary, but you should already know how to get it up.
It's so funny.
We're both just ******* talking.
Pretty far.
You know, at least like 10 o'clock where it's kind of comfortable.
To hold steady.
That is a nice Toyota.
Yeah, that's a really nice.
I'm a Toyota whore.
I really hate to say it, but.
4Runner.
So, all I did is I throw it up.
Quick shift to second.
Now, you can also do this by blipping off the throttle.
And blipping off.
Dude, I love that.
Enjoy it, man.
You like it?
I wish we had like intercoms set up.
Oh my gosh.
You can probably flick it everywhere.
You set it up?
I don't know what they're talking about.
Wow, guys.
Great, great conversation we're having.
Yep.
Uh-huh.
Yep.
Well, be safe, alright?
Yep.
Give him that.
Yep.
See ya.
Yep.
Bye.
Yep.
Bye, buddy.
I guess.
**** me, right?
Those things are fun.
That's a 690 Duke engine.
I'm pretty sure.
Oh.
It just comes up.
Yellow light.
Here we go.
Here's a big thing that a lot of people wonder.
How do you see?
You have to remember where cars are.
How much.
Ow!
**** my ******* nuts.
Distance you have until them.
As I wheelie, I remember where cars are.
Where the intersections are.
If I'm doing a fast wheelie, I know I'm going to approach the vehicles a lot faster than
I'm seeing off in the distance.
It's kind of just understanding how physics works.
How the law of nature really works.
I also drop the bike at times, which you can see in my wheelies.
I drop it to a certain degree so I can peek.
That's in sit-downs.
Now, when you learn stand-ups, all that kind of goes out the window.
Wheelie on the XSR, I can still see everything when I'm wheeling because the bike is on a
nimble.
It doesn't have a big front face blocking my view.
But I also take peeks off to the side.
What are you doing, bro?
That's sit-downs, right?
Getting it up there, you're going to have to get comfortable with being balanced with
the bike.
Let her come up.
Ease your way into it.
I never like, bah, bah, bah.
You know, you're not tuning it.
You can do it in second, but you want to do these.
You don't want to throw it up too high at a higher rate of speed.
But at the same time, you do have engine braking on your side.
Now, let me kind of drop into why I love the R1 specifically.
Mind you, you might be able to do this with the RSV4.
This is my future car right there.
That's going to be the family junk.
You can turn down the engine braking on these bikes.
Put the dog in the back.
Now, that is what I did.
I turned down my engine braking so I have less restriction.
So when the bike comes up, I can let go of the throttle and it's not going to want to
jump down.
Oh, okay.
Cool.
I literally, as he was selling the sign, I was reaching back, right, to grab my peg to
drop it because I was about to do a stagger.
Oh.
I'm kind of like holding my body weight up straight.
And I'm going into the wind.
But I'm using the bike as leverage.
I can have my body if I need to.
But realistically, I'm using the bike.
And when it comes back too far, stop the rear brake.
That's it.
Like, whenever it's too far, right?
That's it.
Damn, planes are huge.
Here's one advantage that you do have unless you're a big boy
You know what I mean? You probably have the weight of the bike a lighter bike will flip back on you easier
But if you have a sense of throttle control you come up and you're too far back
It gives you a little bit of a grace period because the bike is heavier than probably you
What the **** am I listening to?
I could be switching. Oh, that's not my gas every time that I feel like I can't drop the bike back
Look, he he looked like he he's speaking a whole essay right now
I'll go into a I know he is stand up or a staggered wheelie or even a knee knocker, right?
You tell him cam to relearn where the bike needs to be right?
Uh to get that feeling because it's a little bit more safe in my perspective
I mean, that's what i'm saying, bro to get back to balance point and you just you just let her do what it do by
Using a stand-up method because now you can use your body in play, you know
That's that's a very much a key asset of getting this bike back
Yep
And you gotta when you're in a stand-up you can use your body now you can move it to the left you can move it
To the right right in a sit-down
But now when you're in a stand-up knee knocker or staggered you can now use your body up and back it comes back
too much
Damn what is that, bro?
My dude boom
Car pulls out in front of you front flip accident, but again body weight
So when you're doing a stand-up, I keep talking about it. You can use your body weight
So the bike comes back a little too much you come up forward
Maybe that's a sign and now you're centering that with the gravity of the bike. Sorry. I'm like out of breath
Oh, that's a little weird
I forgot how it staggered feels. This is how you ******* crash look back while there's a car in front of you don't do this
Oh
See I can I can use my body now
I'm moving to the right as the bike's going to the left because I want to center it
Staggers are probably one of my most consistent wheelies
I was on my way home riding gas 1000 which you guys have obviously seen
They give you so much replay the bike's going to a certain degree put more pressure on one leg
Uh, there's a car in the right lane blocking the view
We'll learn how to center your body between whether you're doing a knee knocker fully stopped
I was coming pretty slow relatively. I don't know if you should even do a knee knocker
Honestly, it is a very sketchy idea. Somebody was trying to pull out from a car wash. I'm so out of breath
Kim i'm trying to tell a story with your loud ass
The car was pulling out. He didn't see me
So he decided to not only block one lane of traffic
Um, I don't know what i'm talking about
Basically, I hit the car
Um, oh staggered wheelies, uh balance
Yes, yes, yes, yes balance balance balance is so key my lower back and my pelvis these boots kind of got messed up
Yeah, but we outside though. Hi, buddy
I know what you feel bro. I'll keep getting lost with what the **** i'm trying to say
If you have a hard time
Let's say you're doing a stand-up and you're putting more pressure on one side figure out and compensate for that
Whether through it's your upper body funny because I gotta get this out quick before I forget it
So let's say you're putting too much pressure on the right foot every time you're riding kind of aggressively
You're super focused chances of things going wrong. Are you not paying attention?
Or so low in this case. I was you know consciously try to bring up the idea that hey what's going on right now?
Riding like a normal wall-biting citizen
And ---- happens, why is the bike reacting such a way?
There's a lot of times where i'll do a wheelie, right?
The road conditions are fine
But you know i'm drifting one way and i'm like what why am I drifting to the right but the temptations to rip around these cars
Right now are so hot. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Let me think about the feeling
Maybe i'll throw it back up and then i'm consciously trying to figure out
Okay, you know the bike's moving to the right because i'm putting a lot of pressure to the right side now
Look, i'm staying still and all i'm doing is pushing i'm putting pressure on my right foot
But I can also put pressure on my left foot, right?
So I encourage you to ultimately take it to the track. That's how you get in touch with the bike
That's the easiest way of getting such in the fight
All right
Oh, he's knocking it go ahead
Oh my gosh, baby
I just I feel like i'm pushing it in his face every time what the **** is happening right now
If you've never hit balance point, that should be your focus rear brake control
And balance point don't just try to throw a 1000 up because you will flip it you can easily flip these things the faster you go
The higher in rpms you're going to be which means the more responsive that throttle is going to be be mindful understand the bike
Let's go
Yeah, yep
Don't trust these intersections when it's an intersection that has a blind corner where the car might be on this side
Might want to pull out to the right can't see us because there's a building right there. They see nothing
We're coming around at 50 miles an hour. It might get ugly if they pull out right halfway now
Always be aware be mindful. I have never talked this much in my entire life prepare for the worst, right?
You saw me coming around the corner. I didn't know, you know, he sped up. I don't know why but
You know, i'm i'm like, um, i'm gonna wait check look both ways and keep it cushion, you know, don't grow old
It's kind of fun. You find appreciation in the smallest thing
i'll be looking at like someone's front lawn and i'm like damn you guys really take care of your grass like
That's that's lovely. You know what i mean? Like what this is the only road I wanted to ride. Why does this always happen?
Uh, I just okay. Actually, that's a that turn could have been the end of both of us right there, but
By the time cam and I link up anytime he comes my way which has only been twice
We always go to a road that we could rip but no
traffic
four o'clock traffic
Yes, that's ******* sick
That looks so cool
Yeah, they're smoking they're definitely smoking
I've been inside all week and it just
**** I keep missing the exits. Can I go right there? Is that allowed?
Definitely not allowed
I have a question. I don't know if cam will put this in but
For scientific reasons i'm just curious. Uh, yeah follow the white that looks like a terrible idea
I see a really steep hill and gravel. Oh goodness. Lord gracious. This was
This was this was a terrible idea. This is holy ****
No parking on the berm, all right watch this then
All right
He's literally loping like how does a bike lope
All right
Yeah, no, I know exactly what you're trying to say bro, I know exactly how you feel now, what do you mean
Because you gotta focus on what the **** you're doing so you don't die
Not trying to die and then I already do that anyways, so then i'm talking
And then i'm just talking out of my ass and then i'm like wait, **** I was telling the story
But I forgot what I was trying to do. I forget it. Oh, damn. That was crazy. Now the adhd kicks in heavy
All right, there may or may not be a little little spider guy in my helmet
Oh, damn. Oh, oh, oh, oh gotta gotta do this thing
Yeah, we're good
Holy ---- so many deer
I want to talk more about connecting with the bike building a relationship with your bike building some level of
Understanding with the bike how it moves how it feels how it reacts know your bike inside and out
And as I said before going to the track allows you to do that
Safely too because you can go there and push your limit
But really you just need a lot more seat time and this will help you riding it. I mean all over
That's just not good
This isn't specifically the wheeling
But if you're gonna wheelie the more that you learn the more that you can keep the front wheel up the more that you can
Have time inside the wheelie to really sit down and think as you get comfortable
You'll get to a point where second gear you can clutch it up and then you're up in the air, right?
Now, let's say you run that wheelie for 30 seconds. You got 30 seconds to process information understand what you're doing
Understand the feeling understand what you can do differently
Oh
They're really they're getting chilly really fast what was I talking about sir, you're ******* up my music
Oh, that's that's right, right. Oh, I can't see the road
Yeah, he's feeling the song right now, I don't know the lyrics but i'm hoping
Oh
So
I don't care what anyone says. Kanye and jay-z is superior combination. Like it just it don't get much better than that
I wanted to throw it back, but I was not balanced if you feel like starting to get uncomfortable. Just put it back down
That would have a gun
That bump I hit on that road I saw you yeah you hit the center yeah yeah it
spooked you yeah she went boop boop no I went
yeah that that was cool
I guess I got my swagger back
that's ******* awesome there's so many mixed emotions right now
I know you're good
the kid he's just sitting there watching us that's awesome
that's so funny little guys just loving it oh sorry dad
I'm the kid and I wanted the kid to do that!
that kid's getting on the bike
Siri shut up!
I know we're gonna see better days
Oh yeah
Dude I was like
What am I doing again?
