When Patriarch Bodhi finally opened his mouth to teach, the scene was unlike anything Sun Wukong had ever witnessed.

From the heavens above, blossoms drifted down in endless showers, soft and luminous. Beneath their feet, golden lotuses burst forth from the earth, glowing with sacred light. Such visions, the scriptures say, only appear when a truth of the highest order is revealed.

The Patriarch sat in majesty, clothed in white robes, a calm smile upon his face, a halo crowning his head. Around him, disciples gathered in reverent silence. At the center, the stone monkey bowed deeply, heart trembling with awe.

With a slow wave of his whisk, the Patriarch expounded mysteries unspoken: the Three Vehicles, complete in every detail; the unity of Dao, Buddhism, and Confucian teaching; and the path of sincerity that leads beyond birth and death. His words sparkled like jewels, rolling like thunder across the Ninefold Heavens.

In that moment, Sun Wukong felt the entire cosmos bear witness to his Master’s Law. He was no longer just a monkey who had found a teacher—he was a disciple standing at the threshold of eternity.
