What do you love about playing the General? Oh my God. Because you get to play a lot of levity. Then it gets dramatic. It gets loud. It gets soft. So it's like using all 88 keys. I know you. Special Agent Musso. What do you want from me, Musso? I know you, General. You're a movie icon. What is it about this role right now in your career that you love playing this guy? You know, without sounding too audacious, it comes very naturally to me. I try to just don't act, just react. Because the emotions I feel in this, because I don't have temper, and then again I have a wild sense of humor, so why not use it all? Some guys are very quiet in private. I'm not. And I get more quiet on screen than I do off screen. So all these little variables work. And this season we have some new faces. Yeah. Samuel L. Jackson. Oh yeah. It's interesting because it's kind of like the Canelo fight last week where Ali and Fraser, you got two guys coming in. I've known him for 30 years, but we never really... And I said, how's this going to work? Because he knows all the different tricks of the trade. And he's so relaxed. I thought I was relaxed. I was like, whatever. He's on. I want something. No, he's just incredibly prepared. Very prepared, too. And he has full voice. You can hear his voice. A lot of actors swallow their words. They do. It's just because they have mics on now, they're so sensitive. They can talk down like this. And I can't even get disappointed. I can do that. Wrap that up and ratchet that thing up. But Sam doesn't need that. He likes his voice. And he's just... He's going to have his own show. And I think this helped him push that decision closer because it's him. He can be you. And you are a character. You don't have to do anything. You don't have to add anything. Of course you will. Right, right. You'll add a little flavor just like you do. Is that a ghost? Well, I bet ain't nobody seen that coming. What are you excited for audiences to see this season? This new season? Well, that's certain. His arrival is going to be seismic. That's for sure. And also, Robert Patrick plays the oddest villain. It's as though someone came from 150 years ago. Like a real mountain man. The way he talks, he's a mountain boy. At first I said, come on. I said, no, this is kind of scary. The shirt's all buttoned up. Like a minister. Like a blood and thunder kind of minister. So that's the key to the whole thing. I am who I am. It's like, who am I going against? And there's another character called Quiet Ray. Watch out. James Russo. He's like the boss of bosses. Everybody out! On the ground! It's time to share. The wolves are clawing at the door. So what are we going to do about it? I'm going to break your jaw in six places. Who says you're not romantic? Now I have to ask you about the Rambo prequel that's coming out. What's your thoughts? Have you met the guy who will replace you? Do you have any tips? This is a real challenge. I wrote a long treatment on this. Because I wanted to do it a few years ago. But I wanted to do it all AI. I wanted to be the first AI movie out. And they could do such amazing things. And basically use a younger me. That didn't come to pass. So I hope they follow the paradigm that Rambo was the most popular guy in high school. He was the best athlete, valedictorian. And when he got shipped over there, he thought it was going to be great. He became a chopper pilot. And it would be over in three weeks. And then the slow disintegration. The death of his friends. The madness in Saigon. The jungle. It actually just morphed him into what I was like. So if they can get that, it's going to be... They have a good director. So we'll see. You're smart. I see how you were trying to keep yourself alive in there with the AI. I like that. Especially now with the AI. It's mind-blowing. You could actually take yourself and make you 14. Now I have to ask. Because I want to look like you. How do you maintain this? How do you look so damn good? It's not a matter of ego. It's a matter of economics. You get it? So, you know. If all of a sudden they come in there and you're like... I did that once. I said, okay. I did Copland. I got so much backlash. I went, really? Yeah, man. Where's the abs? I said, they're long gone. I paid the price for that. But, yeah. It's something you got to do. I've had three neck fusions and seven back operations. It's like cranking up an old tractor. Then it starts to move. Just keeping the joints moving. It's that old commercial body inaction that stays inaction. That old thing. It's true.
