Today we're doing the maiden flight of the H-King Skipper All Terrain Airplane EPO 700mm (28") Orange (PNF) off WATER! This is a unique aircraft that has the ability to fly off of just about any surface. Also being an extremely affordable rc plane, is this a great one to add to the hangar? Let's find out.
Spock 3 RC, we have a unique one for you today.
The Hobie King Skipper is here and it's out.
It's an off-road plane and what's good about it is that it's really approachable.
I'm using a 3S battery, a 4-channel spectrum here.
We don't have a more secure automatic launch system today,
but it's still an economical configuration.
No landing gear, no floaters.
The body floats right there.
And then there are pontoons.
And then our engine here is on top.
So, you can do it on snow, on grass,
or today we're going to do the inaugural flight on water,
which is always a little dangerous.
So, if you like, make sure to check out the links below
if you want to buy one for yourself.

And let's get started.
Open rear.
As I said, the 3S 2200 seemed a little heavy in the nose when I did the CG,
but on an inaugural boat, I always prefer it to be a little heavy in the nose.
So, we're going to check our controls here.
Left, it's left, right, up, down.
Check our controls.
Left, right.
Now, I'm interested to see how it goes in the water.
I don't know if this control is just going to stay a little in the water
and maybe that's how we're going to go.
We'll see.
Otherwise, my cameraman is going to swim.
Let's throw it in the water.
Skipper.
Oh, I got it a little wet.
It's good.
Now, let's see if we...
Oh, yeah, this control seems to be touching the water.
Uh, so it can go.
Oh, yeah, honestly, it can go a little better than what I was expecting.
We don't call it a skipper for nothing.
Yeah, I feel like it's a little...
Yeah.
So, I might try to land it quickly.
It's a skipper.
Very good.
This thing is great.
So, I'm just going to set it up here so that my depth control is a little more pointed up.
And then, we'll see.
I guess we can catch one.
That's great.
What a crazy plane.
But guys, sometimes, it's fun to have something unique and we don't have a dirt track.
So, when there are these off-road planes and all that.
Oh.
Oh, ----.
I might have to adjust my wings too.
She made a barrel all by herself.
I didn't realize if I was going to count it or if we just had a little wind.
Let's see.
Yeah, it looks like she's leaning a little to the left and I'm fighting her a little.
So, we're going to land it again.
Set it up.
Dude, I let go of the handles and everything went well.
We adjusted the height a bit.
Let's see if we can put it back in place.
Oh, that was a good takeoff.
And yeah, she's now pointed up.
So, I could remove some of the height that I set up and it still looks like she wants to roll a little to the left.
But it's not terrible to counter her a little here.
It helped to fix it.
Yeah, there, I let go of the handles and we could see that she was just starting to roll on her own.
So, we're just going to set it up a little.
You're going to have that on these inaugural flights.
And above all, guys, it's a low-budget plane.
This aircraft costs a little over $100.
And then I put a four-channel receiver in it, which costs about $30 or $40.
So, all in all, you're not too bad sitting on it, but it exceeds my expectations.
It's fun.
And it can really slide directly.
Look at that.
I would have liked the steering to be a little more manageable.
Oh, but hey, she did it.
She did it.
Oh, I love this takeoff.
It's so great.
I want to try a loop, but I'm also a little scared.
I mean, too bad.
Look at that.
It has very good handling characteristics.
I'm surprised by this little thing.
And it can take off quite well to be on a small 3S battery, too.
I thought, oh, 3S, but it's fun.
I love this little thing.
I can't wait for winter to come.
I drive it completely on the snow.
Look at that.
Good roll rate.
Now that it's set and set, I feel so much better.
And again, guys, we don't have Astra X or self-leveling on this one.
So, he drives as he is.
And he does a good job.
It's a good little plane.
I can drive it at 50% of the gas and feel solid with it.
I really love this little thing.
Is it the best plane I have?
No.
But for about $150, it's up there.
It's a fun plane.
I don't know.
The cheaper ones are nice because you're less afraid of crushing them and everything.
It's just nicer.
It's like when you have a luxury vehicle.
We have a beautiful car.
We want it to be impeccable and beautiful.
We have a luxury truck and we have fun blowing it up.
That's it.
A luxury plane.
This thing is great.
And not bad for the wings with 3MD too.
I was a little nervous about this, but it hangs.
They hang like crazy.
Let's get it in.
Let's see if we can make a nice landing without any problems here.
Well, let's take that.
Let's see if we can go back.
Now, the direction is correct.
The direction is not terrible.
You should not get into a delicate situation.
And then, as I have a four-channel, I don't have the reverse thrust.
So, it would be good, but I wanted to put a good market receiver there.
So, let's go quickly while the waves swing it against the rocks.
Oh my God.
Well, it's the Hobie King Skipper.
A unique little plane that is super fun and honestly really affordable.
I liked it a lot more than I thought.
Once again, guys, if you are interested in buying this Hobie K aircraft,
I will put a link to the affiliation below so that you can get it.
I receive a small return as a thank you for making the video.
