Finnmark and the very North - Motorcycle Winter Trip S2425 EP20

Good morning. 4.30 and it's so light. I think I'm gonna go up, make some breakfast and start the day since it's supposed to be better weather before lunch. So I use those hours to to drive some and to enjoy some. It snowed a little bit tonight but not much I think. So I will shake it off the tent and jump out. So first a thin layer of sock and a plastic layer to prevent the sweat to get out to the thicker sock and to the isolation of the boot. So after that the next sock and then a shoe. That's the way to go. Not even five in the morning. So light, much lighter than home. So Look, the sun is checking in. That's very nice. It's very warm actually, even though it's snowing a little bit. It's warm so I don't need to do everything with gloves on. So that feels... Yeah, it's very simple to do things without the gloves. It's a bit bulky with them on. But I'm gonna pitch down the tent then I'm head off to Alta. I'm gonna fuel the bike up there and maybe buy some extra snack. I had a good breakfast but some extra energy is always good. And then continue more north after that. We'll see how far I get today. But yeah, no stress. It's still early so it feels very good. I'm gonna continue on pitch down the tent now and then we drive. Yeah, there is definitely some snow dust on the road. But I think you can see the asphalt so it will be contrasty. And sometimes when it's snow it can affect the visibility on the road a bit. But if it's too poor I will stop. But I will give it a try at least. And yeah, I will start the engine very soon and then let it go for a little while. And then I head off. Happy times. I always take a last check. No small things been dropped. Good. Let's go. Time to hit the road. Ah, beautiful morning. And I can have my foot on the skis. There we go. 65 kilometers to Alta I think. I'll take it slow pace. We're up early. It's just 10 minutes past seven. Adjusting the face mask a little bit. And now we're good to go again. Here we go. Ah, that feels better. You don't want exposed skin between goggles and helmet. now and then. It's so beautiful. It's 360 beautiful. Ah, really nice. That's a really beautiful road. I had to be a bit careful of course. It's pretty amazing those truck drivers driving here. And that's why I need to be a bit careful as well. Because they are pretty wide and the road is a bit narrow and a bit slippery. So better to keep thing to eat and maybe use the bathroom. I need to brush my teeth also. I forgot it. Second breakfast. Still very early. 9 30. I almost had a lunch. It's good with some extra fat. I was starting to feel yesterday a little bit in the throat. Then it's good to just boost up with a lot of fat in those conditions. My teeth are so clean now again. Really nice. I washed my head as well and my ears. It's crazy for what difference it makes. Famous dog sledding race finish here. I think it starts here as well. Finnmaxlöpet. I think it was a swede who won last time. He's really good actually. Petter Karlsson. He's been winning a lot lately. Okay we're fueled up. We should have some hours before the snow hits. So I guess just go with the flow and continuing northeast. Made it to the other side of the fjell. The small mountain pass. And from here it's just north. Up to North Cape. Kind of following the ocean. I think I will have a small quick little snack break here. Oh slippery. And a truck. At the same time. And yeah have a quick little break. Drink some water. Yeah that would be nice. And then I head off I think. It still feels like I have some time for the snow hits. So North Cape to the left. So that's it is. Yeah slushy.
