Cederberg Mountains, South Africa

After doing some relaxing we headed north to the Cederberg Mountains to do some hikes around these dramatic rock formations. Due to the weather we did an unexpected wine tasting too at the Cederberg winery.

We only had two nights in the region which was not enough and sadly almost one whole day we were hit by rain - which caused us to change plans - and skip the planned hike to the Maltese Cross for another wine tasting - which turned out to be the most intense wine tasting we ever had with about 10 wines to taste.

But there was time for one hike - so we checked out the Lot's Wife area and wondered around these great rock formations which reminded us a little bit of the Colorado Plateau. We will definitely come back some day.
