In Bosnia and Herzegovina existed until the 19th century, when both countries became a part of the Bosnian Union Empire, which lasted until the World War I started. Yugoslavia fell apart in 1996 when Croatia gained its independence and when Croatian political borders were created. Most of Croatian political borders are natural borders, rivers, mountains, hills, valleys, etc. According to the Data Accord, ever since 1982, Bosnia and Herzegovina is the Republic of Srpska. But the Republic of Srpska is not to be mistaken with the Republic of Serbia. For instance, it is a federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and this town nearby, Trebinje, is the Republic of Srpska and that's where Bosnian Serbs live. Because Bosnia and Herzegovina is a home to three ethnicities, three ethnic groups, Bosniaks, Bosnian Serbs and Bosnians.
