HUNG VANNGO BEAUTY FIRST IMPRESSIONS + DEMO!

Hey guys, welcome back to my channel today. I'm so excited this package showed up last night I didn't know when it was coming We are early because the launch isn't for a little bit over a week now But I got a PR package from hung Van Gogh. I hope I'm saying that correctly This is a new brand that is coming to Sephora and they sent me a ton of products to try I think I have one of everything except for the bronzer. So we're just going to do a first impressions I'm gonna do swatches. We're gonna zoom in and just try all the products and I'm gonna give you my thoughts So, of course I will leave all the information down below in the description box linking these products because they are on Sephora right now and then giving you information on when they'll be available and Also link all of the other makeup that I end up applying So everything will be down below if you're excited about this makeup line Give this video a thumbs up and if you like just trying new products give this video a thumbs up It really helps me out if you're new here I hope you stick around and subscribe and let's go ahead and zoom in and start getting into these products Alright, so I've zoomed you in and I want to go over this collection What is available the pricing the availability and a little bit more about the creator? So this is a new brand to Sephora is going to be available on September 8th And there are seven new products in this launch. So this is hung Van Gogh Beauty He is a celebrity makeup artist super talented and I'm so excited to see makeup artists Coming out with makeup lines. I feel like there's some of my favorites I'm a huge fan of like makeup by Mario Patrick Ta so I'm really excited to see another player in the game and I love that the Initial launch has a good variety of products. I feel like everything makes sense. So we have a lipstick formula We have some eyeshadow palettes blushes bronzers lip liner and then two different formulas of eyeliner So I want to go through and kind of look at the pricing So first we have the creamy matte long wear lipstick This is going to retail for $29 and it looks like there are 14 different colors to choose from I was sent three so we will try those on today. Then we have the color story eyeshadow palette There's eight different colorways and this has eight pans in each palette and this retails for $49 each we also have the very beautiful matte velvet blush This comes in six colors and it retails for $32. We have the accentuating long wear lip liner These are $24 in nine different shades. Then we have the soft focus blurring matte powder bronzer This is $38 and it's available in six shades That is the only product that I don't have But I probably will pick it up when it launches and then we have two different formulas of eyeliner We have the soft velvet creamy kohl liner This is $22 with three different shades and then we have the long wear waterproof precision gel liner This is in eight colors for $24. So I like that. There is an array of products I feel like we have a good mix and a lot of different colors to choose from Now in terms of the packaging the packaging is this really fun like matte bright red orange Really really sleek if I had to compare it in terms of like weight It reminds me of like a NARS sort of vibe. It has a good weight to it Very structured very like makeup artist Ask which makes sense because he is a makeup artist and he did also send over This pamphlet with the products so I can kind of go over what they're supposed to do and which formula is best for which Application like the eyeliners. It seems like one of them is gonna be better for the waterline The other one's gonna be better for smudging. So let's look at the eyeshadow palettes I'm just going to start on a look and then we're gonna move through so I'll start with my eyes Because I really want to be able to clean up and really do something dramatic I was sent every shade of the eyeshadow palettes, which I was kind of shocked by so we have eight here But I wanted to show you this first one is Rebellious red and pink so you have eight pans in the actual palette You do get a mirror as well The packaging is very sleek has the logo on the front and on the back. There's a sticker with numbered shades So this one is that red pink shade then we have brilliant blue. This one is intense I have to say in person. These are super super bright So I was kind of surprised like this looks neon really really fun And then we have the outstanding orange This one's really beautiful If you like like that Sunset sort of vibe and each of these seems to have like different finishes because it looks like we have some like sparkle metallics But then it looks like we have something a little bit more out there So I'm interested to try that and of course, I will be putting swatches up We also have the generous green and yellow again. These are so rich like in person It's almost unbelievable. So I'm really interested to get my hands on these swatches and then we also have composed cool Extremely deep and complex. This is a cool tone palette through and through It's not like one of those neutral palettes that they say is cool. This is extremely cool and dark and smoky We also have the passionate purple really really intense and lots of depth in these palettes I'm assuming again because this is for like a makeup artist kit So lots of different colors to choose from we have the wonderful warm. This one looks really pretty, too I'm honestly most drawn to this one and the next one and then we have the new neutral Which is probably the one that I would be most excited for Just because I wear neutrals the most and just a little bit more information about these palettes They are described as an ultra pigmented eyeshadow palette featuring four unique finishes and high-impact shades expertly coordinated in wearable color families So it looks like we have the 3d creamy matte the classic matte the satin and then the metallic So four different finishes these have 1.8 grams of product in each shadow And this is made in Italy also has a 12 month shelf life So now that I've gone over a little bit more info on the palettes I was going to use the purple palette but I swatched it in comparison to the new neutral the new neutral just feels much more creamy and The purple palette just feels pretty dry. It also feels more sheer I know that purples can be really really difficult to formulate so that could be it So I will play with the purple palette later But I really want to use something that I can mix and match with the bright blushes and I have a red lipstick So I'm gonna be using the new neutral palette those of you that love color You're probably screaming but I am a neutral girly So I want to start and I think I'm going to dip in to this shade right here And I'm gonna use a small pencil brush. I love a Halo eye on myself. It just seems to work the best and I have set my lid with powder Off the bat really nice pigment so I like to apply this on the inner portion and Then the outer portion and then I go in and kind of soften and build from there. So I'm gonna take a refer 14 max and just start Softening around this shade Kind of appears a little bit more intense on the eye So I'm gonna go in next I think into this kind of warmer shade here. I'm gonna use that same refer brush And just kind of build on this There's a really small amount of kick up in the pan, but nothing Extraordinary, so I'm just softening These two shades together And I like to do my eyes first because then I can clean up and I don't have to worry about You know my wing not being perfect. So I'm gonna go back into that first shade with that pencil brush and then just soften again and Once I have a base of the shadow shape down, I want to use the next product So this is the soft kohl velvet eyeliner It's supposed to be creamy and perfect for smoking out and it comes in three different shades So I was sent the fashion black. So let's go ahead and swatch this Okay, very very pigmented. I want to see how this blends out. Oh Yeah That smudges really really nicely You don't lose the pigment But it definitely smokes out So I want to try to use this on the lash line just to give me more depth and kind of smoke out a wing So I'm gonna go ahead and apply this to the lash line and then I'm gonna use a refer 23 It's a really precise brush to sort of start smoking it So I'm taking this Right on this outer portion and then going in with that brush To smudge this out Even though it's a wood pencil. It does not feel dry so I'm just softening this And I feel like it has a good Blend ability like you are able to smoke it, but it still keeps good pigment I'm just gonna reinforce that and if it gets messy down here, it's okay. I'm gonna clean it up I'm curious to see like how this sets you still get a little bit of transfer, but The swatch in itself is not really moving So it seems like it's going to be a good long wear. So I'm actually gonna take a little bit on the inner Portion of my eye same thing Just kind of smoke it a little bit. It's actually a pretty nice formula So when I have the general shape, I am gonna go back into this deeper brown with a small pencil brush And I want to just reinforce this and then I can go in with that first brush I had and then blend so I'm just building on this and For the center of the lid. I'm trying to decide between these two colors I think I want to go in with this brighter one, which is up here This one feels like it's a little bit more chunky, but it has that Really pretty shine Yeah, it's really pretty I'm just taking this right in the center and then Blending up and I'm assuming if you use like a glitter glue, it would be even more Intense, but I'm gonna start there and then I think I'm gonna jump into this like bronzy shade here with a refer 26 and I want to put this around And keep it a little bit lower kind of sandwiched around that halo center and then going back in with my brush and just Blending around here just to soften And then with a really small angled brush, I'm gonna go into this deepest shade here. This is a BK Beauty 208 and I want to add Definition at the lash line and underneath And then I can just continue to like smoke this out But I want that like sharp definition on the base So I went ahead and put some more of my makeup on to go on to the next step. This lash is not Cooperating so I may have to adjust but I want to go in next with this eyeliner to finish off the lower lash line So this is the soften the edge long wear eyeliner These come in ten different shades and this is supposed to be waterproof and long wear So this was the shade that they sent so I'm gonna take this and apply it to my waterline I should probably zoom you in here Sometimes liners that go in the waterline like won't adhere but this one Is giving me like good smooth pigment That's nice and then I'm gonna take this brush and jump back into the palette Into this deeper shade and I want to apply this right at the lash line And then right underneath that grabbing this shade and that fluffy brush and I want to smoke a little bit And then I'm gonna go back in to that liner and tight line Has a really like nice slip to it But I wanted to let this kind of set for a second and see. Oh, yeah, I Mean, I'm pushing really hard You can hear it like squeak that is not going anywhere. Wow I'm pretty impressed with the eyeliners like they both do what they say they're gonna do Wow, wow, wow, wow, I need some more shades of this because that is literally like Not moving at all. So that is really really promising It reminds me of the Marc Jacobs if you've ever tried those He used to love those a Marc Jacobs that's a little bit more pigmented. I'm just doing the same on this eye And I'm just like pulling this down a little bit I'm also gonna jump back into the palette and I think Actually, I'm gonna stick with this shade right here And I'm gonna use a really small brush and put this right on the lower lash line like right in the center here Just mirroring the top there is gonna be fallout with These shadows just because they have that like glittery look I'm just pulling a little bit like right in here, but I don't mind it because it's pretty much like Expected that's why I like to do my eyes first But I'm sure if you use like a glitter glue or wet your brush it would you know lessen that but think I'm gonna leave The eyes there for now. I want to move on to blush So we have blush lip liner and lipstick left. So next we have the very beautiful Velvet blush and this I have two shades of so I'm gonna try to somehow use both of them So there's six shades in total. These are supposed to be a blurring cloud matte finish. I love the packaging on these It's really sleek. So I picked up or I was sent second language. This one looks really really pretty It's like a peachy coral and then I also have legacy now. This one's pretty intense So we will do our best to try both but let's go ahead and swatch these Honestly, this brand is giving me like NARS vibes the feel of the products the packaging the weight It's very very comparable. So this is that first shade and then this is that second one? Yeah, that one's like super super Pigmented so we're gonna have to tread lightly So I'm gonna start off with second language in a clean brush and I'm gonna just dip in twice you can see that it is quite pigmented and I usually put a Liquid blush on but I did not today Okay, so I can be a little bit more heavy-handed. I was trying to be really soft I usually do wear a liquid blush because my skin is just more dry as I've gotten older So this has a good amount of pigment, but it's not like over-the-top Although I do like to wear a lot of blush. So this one seems even though it says it's matte I feel like I see a little bit of a glow in this shade Which I don't know. I thought it said it was matte but looking at the pamphlet here It says that it is a cloud matte finish. So that's interesting because looking at this shade It doesn't look like there's like any glow, but this one I thought it looked like that when I was swatching it, too so I feel like it's pretty subtle, but I Definitely feel like there is some sort of glow there And because I want to try both shades, I am going to attempt this shade on this side of my face I'm gonna use a fluffier brush of BK 111 and I'm just gonna dip in. Yeah, you can see like This is Pigmented So I'm going to just be easy. I Mean, I still feel like it's wearable and if you compare the two this one just has like that hot red Versus like that flushed pink But I do feel like the side over here does have some sort of like glow to it because I don't think that the red does so I'm just gonna take the brushes and just try to do a mixture on both sides and So I don't look too uneven. So I have two more products to test out There's a lip liner, which I only have one shade of so I'm going to first swatch a couple of these lipsticks So we have the creamy matte lipsticks There are 18 shades and I was sent three So I thought that I would swatch two of them on my lips before I go in with my final shade So we have first here the shade wild rose This is what the packaging looks like again, very very reminiscent of NARS and this is supposed to be a creamy matte Yeah, very very pigmented and creamy I wonder how this is gonna dry down to matte because it is very very creamy which tells me it's gonna be comfortable And then we also have the shade nothing to lose which I might wear this today I'm not sure this is supposed to be a medium nude Wow, very very creamy Really creamy and then I have a red shade here called Van Gogh red Now this one doesn't feel quite as creamy That kind of is nice because a red lip you want it to stay in place So I'm just gonna apply the red lip. I don't smell anything I'm gonna apply this first just to swatch it on the lips for you because I don't have a lip liner to match it Wow, this is like really pigmented And the formula feels incredible It almost feels like a little bit Less emollient and I think that does make sense with a red lip. Look how like hot that is Wow Because you don't want it to be like sliding all over so excuse the sloppy sort of application But I love this formula. They say it's a modern matte. This feels like a really comfortable Red lip that's not going to be going all over there's something about this formula That's not dry But it doesn't move like once you set it and I do think there is some sort of like staying power with this shade in Particular because I do have a stain on my hand. So this is the Van Gogh red. It is so like hot and bright Really really pretty so I went ahead and removed that shade and I want to go in with wild rose Yeah, this one has more slip to it It's not like too much slip, but I definitely notice a difference between this and the red This is a pretty shade. I would definitely Use a lip liner with this. So this is wild rose this with a lip liner I think would be absolutely stunning. I just have a lot of tones going on So I went ahead and removed that and I want to go in with a lip liner and then finish with the last lipstick So this is the accentuating long wear lip liner This is supposed to be a smooth glide formula that moves with your lips all day So I have the shade create the shape and it has a roll-up applicator so I'm gonna swatch this and then I want to kind of let this sit and Try to kind of maneuver it to see what kind of staying power there is kind of feels like it has like a Gel like texture, it's not super slippy which I like because that gives me control This shade is really pretty So this is what the shade looks like. I wanted to see if we can blend this Okay, so it looks like this formula is smudgeable It's one of those that it smudges if you touch it, but it has that pigment that's still there So I wonder if this is made to smudge initially and then once it sets This stays around because this isn't like coming off and it feels quite like waxy and thick So I'm wondering if he did that so that you have the ability to wear it both ways if you wanted to do like that soft Contour sort of smudge look because it is sort of hard to get off like when I'm really trying to remove it It's almost like it really adheres to the skin once you smudge the top layer So I'm gonna go in and apply this nothing to lose lipstick Wow That is so creamy and pigmented. I'm not sure if this goes perfectly with the look But again, I just wanted to try the products that I was sent and try all of the shades but very very pigmented Lightweight does not feel dry Super super beautiful. I'm interested to see like how long these hang around But I think that is all of the products that I was sent so I want to kind of get myself together gather my thoughts and then give you my Initial first impression on the products that I think are like really standouts. Alright guys So this is the final look I came up with using all of the new hung Van Gogh beauty products I was sent of course I still have to test out all the other eyeshadow palettes But I did want to just try everything that I could today Even though I know that you know, my eyes my blush my lips not everything is going together perfectly I wanted to try the products to get a feel for the textures and formulas So let's start off with the eyeshadow palette as I said before this palette Swatched way creamier and just better overall than the purple palette So I'm gonna have to test out all of those other colors But I found this to be really easy to work with but I thought that it was user-friendly In the sense that these shades are really pretty and they adhere to the lid without a glitter glue No special tools just using your fingers will work and I like that You have different textures in here if you want more of that like standard metallic you could go here But if you want something a little bit more high shine, you can use this shade. I felt like the mattes blended I had no issues I didn't find them to be overly pigmented to where I couldn't maneuver them But I didn't find them to be sheer and hard to build so I had a really good experience with this again I don't know if I think this is like wow you have to have it But this is only one of eight colorways and my first impression on this is good. I didn't struggle with it I just want to continue to play around and try different looks So first impression on that is good now a product that shocked me was this liner So this is the soft velvet liner now This one is supposed to be able to be smudged and I absolutely agree with that. I find this to be extremely pigmented I didn't struggle to apply it But it does have this really nice ability to be smudged and it smudges a good amount But also doesn't lose all of its depth. So I like that I've tried other liners in the past that smudged and almost ended up being like a sheer blue This is a true black and it really did a great job at creating some depth and giving me like a wing if I didn't want to use. Oh, I just put that on my face Whoopsie, I just touched my face with my swatched finger So I'll have to fix that but I didn't find that it was Difficult to work with and it did exactly what it claims to do So if you want to smudge your liner you like that Look, this formula is really really nice. And if you want a liner to stay in the waterline This is probably the best product that I've tried today because I don't know if I've ever Tried an eyeliner that truly had this staying power So this is the other liner that is called the long wear eyeliner Now this once it sets like it's not going anywhere It reminds me of the Marc Jacobs liners that used to be favorites of mine, and I like how creamy this is It's very easy to apply very thin. It doesn't gunk up or irritate the eyes But once it sets it sets so I think this is going to be a very very popular product It's kind of like the dark horse that I really wasn't checking for but the formula seems incredible and then the blushes I actually really like the legacy blush more So again, very very similar I would say to like the NARS formula. It's just giving me those vibes I do think that this shade which is second language did have some sort of like a glow in there Even though they say it's matte unless I'm like imagining things when I look at this on the skin I felt like I saw some sort of like glow, and I don't know if I'm just Seeing things or not, but there could be like a soft I don't know natural sort of matte finish, so I'll have to continue to test these I do prefer a liquid blush Nowadays and then I'll take something like this over top, so it's really rare for me to just use a powder alone So I'm interested to keep trying these I thought these were nice But again, I don't know if I was like wowed by these as much as I was the liners And then the lip liner I like it I like that you have the ability to smudge it And I like that it's very very thin and it just kind of adheres to the lip So it's not one that's like slipping and sliding or getting outside of your lip lines There is the ability to smudge it, but then once that sets down I do feel like you're gonna get a good longevity The shade is a little light for me, and I do prefer like a wood lip liner usually But if something is long lasting and comfortable and doesn't smudge. That's really what I'm looking for so I like this as well I just want to try more shades And then another standout for me has to be the lipstick formula this formula is so gorgeous The red is so like just Perfectly smooth and pigmented it looks stunning, and it doesn't feel dry But it doesn't feel like it's gonna slip all over very very luxurious the two shades that I have here I don't think really went with the liner or look, but just so incredibly pigmented and smooth I mean one swipe like they remind me of the NARS Audacious lipstick formula if you had tried that and I know a lot of people love those so again excited to try some more shades They feel nice and weighted. I'm pretty impressed overall there really wasn't anything that I thought was a dud There was a couple standouts again for me the lipstick formula as a standout the eyeliners are definitely a standout And then the rest of the products were really good I just have to keep testing them and trying them with different formulas and different colors and shades and then report back But what do you guys think about this launch?
