NTD’s 11th Classical Chinese Dance Competition Kicks Off

NTD’s 11th International Classical Chinese Dance Competition kicked off at the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center in Chester, New York, on Sept. 11.

Marking the start of four days of world-class performances, junior male and female contestants—some just 13 years old—took the stage, bringing to life an art form rooted in 5,000 years of tradition.

After a full day of intense competition, 14 contestants from the Junior Female’s Division and 14 from the Junior Male’s Division stood out and successfully advanced to the semifinals.
