Hey you, what up? Welcome to the channel, welcome back. Today on the channel we have
a new foundation from Natasha Denona. It is the High Glam Foundation inspired by the High
Glam Concealer. This has all the claims and of course I'm going to test them for you because
this is what I do, this is what we do together. We test foundations, we see whether they are
worth the hype, whether they're worth our time and our money and we also put it through
a wear test so I'm going to do that as well. I am really excited about this one, this is
for all skin types, this has 52 shades and basically a lot of you have been asking me
to review it so here I am. If you are here for this video then give it a thumbs up, subscribe
if you aren't and let's hit it. Natasha Denona, new High Glam Foundation, hydrating, blurring,
long wear, radiant serum foundation. Let's test it, 3, 2, 1, 1, 2, 3.
Alright so here we have it, the new Natasha Denona High Glam Foundation, $52, 52 shades,
lots of different undertones from yellow to pink to neutral to red and there's also a
combination as always Natasha Denona creates these combinations between yellow neutral
and neutral red, neutral pink, pink red, there's a bunch of different possibilities with the
undertones that's clearly labeled by the numbering system and the naming convention of these
foundations so for example right now I'm holding shade YN6 which is a yellow neutral number
6. Alright let's talk about this foundation, this is supposed to be one of the most innovative
types of formulations and get this, it is actually suitable for all skin types so whether
you are dry or oily the ingredients in this foundation are supposed to balance out all
skin types, even mature skin types. Let's get into it, got some literature over here
and it says that this product is developed with the most advanced Japanese amino acid
biomimetic pigments powered by Korean technology and formulated by Natasha with world's leading
Italian chemists so formulated in Korea but made in Italy, medium buildable coverage is
what it promises, radiant blurring finish, self-setting formula we shall test that, hypoallergenic
non comedogenic safe for sensitive skin, long-lasting up to 18 hours, supposed to give you short
and long-term hydration as well as balance excess oils. So of course I took it upon myself
to run the ingredients list by our friend chat as I've been doing lately and here's
what chat has to say, basically there are no red flags in the ingredients, everything
is acne safe, there are a couple of ingredients that are just like a little I guess yellow
flags, tiny little flags but they are so low on the ingredients list that it doesn't even
really matter, it's just such a minuscule amount, basically I'm talking about that Capric
Caprylic triglyceride, that coconut derived ingredient but it's low on the ingredients
list and also it's only about a 2 on the comedogenic scale. So this is supposed to give you a very
siliconey, slippy and breathable type of a finish which is something that chat says
is what you would typically find in higher end foundations, something that took time
to produce so that's a nice thing to hear. Let's get into these shades, I always have
this personal dilemma with Natasha Denona's shade range, whenever I look at the models
that are representing these shades I feel like there is not a single person that looks
anywhere in the vicinity of what I look like, everyone just looks so drastically different
from me and I always feel like there are a lot of lighter skin tones, not too many mediums
and there's a good amount of deeper skin tones as well but I feel like the mediums, if you
look at the Sephora website and if you look at all the models there's just like a handful
of medium skin tones and so not too much to choose from just visually speaking, of course
I don't know how these shades will actually lay on my skin, I'm just stating this because
like I said it is my own personal I guess dilemma with just like the shade representation
or shade modeling situation, I feel like there's like whenever I scroll through them I'm like
damn nobody looks like me what is my shade, I don't know if that happens to you guys but
I feel like with a lot of like American brands you know because we are just so diverse in
America it's so easy to find people that look similar to you whether they are your background
or not but it's kind of like easier with American brands but with brands that are based elsewhere
it's always like a little bit a guessing game right, anyways let's actually try these shades
that were sent to me, I have three shades over here, shade N4 is the first one, also
before I test these let's talk about this bottle, nice frosty glass bottle, very, very
sexy soft matte foamy feeling cap over here, very similar to the concealer which by the
way this is inspired by the concealer, if you love the concealer chances are you will
probably love this but we don't know yet, we are still testing, we've got a pump okay,
okay so here we have shade N4 so this is a neutral number 4, I'm gonna pop up the model,
next we have shade YP5 so that's a combination of yellow and peach, 5, oh yeah these are
quite, quite, quite, quite, quite fair, nowhere near the medium range so I'm hoping that this
last shade, shade YN6 yellow neutral 6 will be the one for me, okay yeah indeed that is
probably the only medium shade out of all of these and I would even classify this as
a light medium, not a true medium, definitely nowhere near a tan and right now it's the
summer time so I'm leaning more in the tan category than in the medium category so we're
gonna have to make this work but for now it doesn't really matter because right now we're
still testing it and if we like this then we will need to get our hands on our proper
shade right, right, alright so here we have it, here are the shades, a little light, a
little light but hopefully it will work, thumbnail face time, I mean I've heard great things,
I know you guys want this to be good because I've seen so many people asking for this review
so fingers crossed, alright I am going to gently remove this off my face and before
I move on with shade YN6 on my skin right now I am wearing a snail mucin okay from this
brand that has still not launched this new product so I'm testing it, I've been liking
it but I feel like at this point I can tell you that it's a snail mucin that's been on
my face every time I test new foundations I've just been liking it a lot, I feel like
it works really great as a primer so that's that but I'm not actually gonna use any additional
primers all I'm gonna do is slap on this high glam foundation and because of the ingredients
and because of the staying power, because it's supposed to be self-setting I feel like
maybe I don't even need a primer, okay that was quite a nice squeeze, wow the coverage
here is set to be medium buildable, I feel like this is a light olive shade this YN6
it's definitely evening out some of the redness that I have in my face, I did have a bit of
a breakout after that new reformulated Too Faced foundation and so I love a nice olive
undertone for targeting that redness I mean that looks really, really divine that looks
really smooth, feels absolutely weightless, really nice, really, really, really nice very
easy slippery glide, definitely has a bit of a radiant dewy glow, bit of stickiness
so I'm really curious about that self-setting claim that they promised, not gonna apply
too much on my forehead because clearly not matching my forehead very well at the moment
but I do like this undertone, I think this is a pretty good undertone for me so judging
by the models and just judging by the shades here I probably need something like a N9 or
perhaps a YN9 I don't know something along the lines of a couple of steps down but I'll
definitely let you guys know. For now I'm just gonna leave it at this one natural layer
I'm not gonna call it a sheer layer because this foundation is by no means sheer it definitely
has coverage and I do believe it is buildable, there's like a couple of spots that I would
like to add some concealer just to cover up a little bit further but for the most part
this is working for me, this is actually probably my winter shade, this would probably work
very well for me in February but at the current moment this YN6 is gonna have to be put aside
in fact I'm gonna whip out my ND High Sculpt Liquid Bronzer that I love that I've been
using all summer long and so I'm just gonna add a little bit of warmth and a little bit
of color all around my forehead, a little bit here in the cheek, oh also I failed to
mention that in the PR package they also included this makeup sponge that I probably should
have used but I'm not really a sponge girl so I didn't even reach for it but I guess
this is something that would be really good for blending out and blurring out some of
that excess pigment. Right now I have no need for that, no use for that so I'm just gonna
grab this Lunar Beauty Bronzing Brush, I'm gonna bring some color back to my face, a
little bit underneath here, a little bit on the cheek. I also will say I find this
to be quite texture perfecting because right here I showed you guys I have a cluster of
like these small little acne scars that create a particular texture and usually whenever
you apply any sort of foundation, any product, even a skin tint it seems to be enhanced you
know but I think with this particular foundation I actually am seeing a blurred effect and
of course if I didn't mention already this is supposed to be a blurring type of foundation.
Remember how I mentioned in one of my previous videos that blurring products are what's in
right now, everything seems to have that claim, every product seems to demand it, every consumer
seems to want it you know and so this is no different. Okay I really, really like the
way that this bronzer pairs with this foundation, almost feels like a similar formula. Okay
suddenly I'm back, all I needed was a little bit of bronzer, definitely keeping the shade
because I love the undertone, I think it looks like skin, I think it works against my redness
or rather it works for me but against my redness. Well yeah these two products together, perfection
and by the way I am in shade Toasty which is a tan. Here is the face with just the foundation
and just the bronzer, shall I give you a close-up. Close-up time, here we go, here is the side
of the face, the forehead, up close I will say the foundation looks even dewier than
from far away, obviously it didn't cover up this big zit but that's okay we have concealer
for that. Overall I am thinking kind of want to add just a little bit of powder just to
like the center of my face to take care of my oily zones, although it says that it's
supposed to be oil controlling and good for all skin types, I'm just gonna be me and I'm
gonna add a little bit of setting powder but first I am gonna take care of this gnarly
zit, add a pinch of concealer to some strategic areas here. In the concealer I am using shade
N5 and I will say this is a concealer that I prefer for spot concealing, covering up
imperfections as opposed to brightening. Because it is so, so pigmented I find that I don't
need this much of a pigmentation for my under eye, kind of need it for these pesky spots,
yeah that's just way, way, way too bright for my summer skin. So I am just gonna use
it to like pop out certain areas like in between the brows, here we go. And so now for my under
eye I am gonna use just a tiny bit of this Cali Ray pink powder, just the slightest amount
of that and then for the rest of the face I am gonna reach for one of my absolute favorite
powder foundations. Also from ND, shade is Y8Y9, I really like this for setting. Even
though it's a powder foundation this is so weightless and so blurring and so beautiful.
I just like to add a little bit of a veil, kind of all over my face, I think that looks
great. Alright I am gonna give you one more close up, powder down, here we are, this side
of the face you can actually see that there is a difference. The skin still looks very
radiant but it looks like it's locked in. So far so good. Okay my first impressions,
if my skin was less bumpy at the moment, if it had just a couple less breakouts I would
feel a little bit more comfortable in my skin. Given the fact that there is some radiance
to it, I do find that breakouts like this, the ones that have texture and the ones that
are a little bit raised, it's kind of hard to cover with a radiant finish foundation,
you know. So whenever you like lift your face to the light you can immediately see the grooves
and the bumps. So that's like the one thing that I'm not loving. However, I feel like
once this product sets, and it is said to be self-setting, once it sets and once it
locks in, I feel like everything will kind of marinate on my face and it will look a
little bit better. That's just my first honest initial impression. Of course I have to see
how it wears. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna apply this makeup the same way that
I did just now on camera. I'm gonna do tomorrow. I'm not going to the gym. I'm not gonna do
a gym wear test because I have a full day of activity. So I'm gonna give it a nice solid
long day wear test to see what happens, to see how it wears and to see if it passes and
if it's worth our time and worth our money. All right, without further ado, let's cue
in that good old time warping music for that wear test. I'm gonna do some check-ins too.
Let's hit it.
Good morning. It is day two of me wearing the Natasha Denona serum foundation paired
with the liquid bronzer. Unflattering light right in front of me. It's about 1130 AM.
This is what the skin is looking like. Very, very natural. You can see my freckles. You
can see some imperfections, but overall I'm looking very, very glowy and so far so good.
Let's see how this wears. Quick check-in. I'm in the kitchen, natural light, no overhead
light. It is about 430, so it's been five and a half hours since I last showed you what
this foundation looked like on the skin. And this is what it's looking like at this point.
I gotta say, at this point, if my skin is looking this dewy, I personally would like
to blot. So I'm gonna take a paper towel. I'm gonna come in close and I'm just gonna
get rid of a little bit of this extra oil, which will also help me kind of smooth the
appearance of my pores. You see the difference? Actually, it becomes a lot, a lot, a lot more
flattering. Let's do the forehead. And by the way, this is the foundation that comes
off on the paper towel. Quite a bit of transfer. So not exactly self-setting, is it? But still
feels very lightweight and very flattering on the skin. And because I'm super, super
oily, this is what I would normally do. And so here we are. All right, back in the kitchen.
It is now 9.36. So this is a 10 plus hour wear test. I am making a chicken for my boys,
my cats. And here we are at the end of the day. I will tell you, I am not feeling my
best today. I went to the doctor, everything's fine, just a checkup. And after the doctor,
I was just so tired that I decided to take a nap. You could probably tell because I literally
slept off some of my mascara and liner after the last check-in. I slept for a good two
hours and here I am. Skin is actually looking better than I expected, even though I did
blot. And even though I can tell that some of the foundation has worn off in some areas,
overall, I will say it has worn pretty well. The forehead is very, very shiny, borderline
greasy, that's for sure. But the rest of the face seems to be holding up, especially
these areas here. This looks pretty smooth and pretty good for such a long wear test.
My personal opinion of this foundation is that it is good, but because I am an oily
skin type, it is not great for someone like me. I need something with a little bit of
a stronger hold. I need probably something a little bit more on the matte side rather
than dewy. However, this does look pretty and it definitely makes me feel put together,
but without wearing a mask of a heavy type of foundation. So will I reach for it again?
Yes, I definitely need to get my hands on my shade. The shade that I'm wearing is not
quite my current shade, perhaps my winter shade or closer to it. But I definitely will
wear it again if I get the shade. Though I will say that I do own foundations that I
prefer over this one. So although this is a good wear test, this is a really nice foundation,
is not my favorite foundation that I have recently tried. In fact, some of my favorites
have actually been from the drugstore. Something like L'Oreal Skin Ink really impressed me
this year. Covergirl Skin Tint with SPF really, really impressed. Pixi on the Glow Stick,
super, super impressive product that I've been constantly reaching for. I really love
the Benefit Porefessional Foundations. All of these I would rank a little bit higher
than this Natasha Denona High Glam Foundation only because it is my personal preference
because I'm an oily skin type and those just work better for me. However, not a bad wear
test. Definitely looks pretty decent at the end of the day and an overhead light. So will
I reach for it again? Absolutely. I just need to figure out an occasion to reach for it
for, if you know what I mean. So that is my review. That is my honest opinion. I hope
you guys are here for it. Peace out. I'm out. I love you. Deuces.
