My Hardest Archery Challenge Yet..
Guys, here's the thing about my friend Drew. I like him, but I don't like him that much.
Historically, Drew has been a pretty tough competition for me. I think I've devised a
plan here that I can, I can take advantage of Drew, put a little whooping on him, that kind
of thing. We're going to head to the range, have a great day, I'll bring you guys along,
and we'll catch up when we get there. I noticed a little funk on my aero flight last time I shot,
and some of that really good slow-mo. That's one of the advantages of shooting slow-mo,
is you get to see that nice, nice or not nice aero flight. But anyway, I noticed a little
funk on the back end of my aero, so I'm going to go shoot it through paper quickly,
just make sure everything's on the up and up, and then we'll, we'll go find Drew.
Bow's still in tune, so you know what that means. When you're seeing a little aero
funk, it's the, I mean, I've seen that before with slow-mo, shooting from odd angles, and that's
where, I don't know, just being really good at archery is hard to do. Yeah, when you add all
the different angles, all the different shots, being able to have a similar release, one that
doesn't torque the bow, very interesting stuff, very interesting.
Brewed in Idaho, dude. Yeah, Moscow. Moscow, that's right in Justin's hood.
You know the brewer, Justin? Kombucha brewer?
Somewhat. Got my bow fully tuned, cleaned up a couple things. I was getting a little,
uh, punchy, you could call it, on the trigger, a little quick. Didn't really believe Josh when
he first told me that, but Josh, just so you hear this, you were right. I, uh, confirmed it with video
and kind of got back on track today, so I'm feeling really good about how I'm shooting,
but today's style is going to be a little bit different, a little different. So Tim's got
another challenge today. He's always super secretive about it. I don't know what we're doing.
Here, let's talk about it right now. We'll do it on the way down. Okay, okay. On the way down, so
today, do you know who Levi Morgan is? Yeah. Levi's pretty good. Today we're going to do a
little Levi Morgan inspired shoot. You know what that means? Nope. You know what Levi's the best at?
What? Unknown yardage. Oh. Yeah. So we're going to do, we're going to do a little unknown yardage
challenge. We're going to shoot a few targets with no range finders, see how we do. Yeah,
that's the deal. We're going unknown yardage today. So we'll, we'll guess, and then we'll,
we'll tell you afterwards what it was. And no peeking, dude. I think in unknown. I'm not a
peeker. Well, the real reason why I'm going to win is because I got range finding binoculars,
and Tim doesn't know that. No. Yeah, you were in the orange. Um, I don't know, actually,
if I'm going to be completely honest, I think I'm a decent judge of yardage, but, uh, we'll see.
You want to tell the audience what I do for a living? Yeah. Tim's a golf pro. So if he's, uh,
any good at his job, he ought to be pretty good judge at yardage. So I might have my hands full
today. I am good, really good at judging yardages and golf. The thing is when I get inside of 50
yards with golf, I don't, I don't hit a firm number in my head. I'm not like, oh, that's 35
yards. I just look at it and hit it 35 yards. We've got to get precise with these shorter yardages.
What does that mean? Well, I don't know. It means we're going to find out and, uh, hopefully we keep
it in the foam. Can we add to that? Nope. What's your, uh, poundage on your bow? We just found out
yesterday. 83 and a half. You hear that Cameron? Cameron, Cameron Haynes, you ever see this? It
would be more if I could get more. He's trying to get that 90 pound hammer, but you can only stretch
his bow so far. So just feels too easy to draw. Yeah. Too easy. So we're going to go rip a few.
Let's go right here. I'm purposefully going to walk with baby steps.
Yeah. Don't be counting on me. Can't pace it off. And then, uh, I got to keep myself from peeking.
You know what I mean? At my bow? Yeah. Cause I want to sneak a peek. You know what I mean? Some bit.
First shot here. This is our little tunnel elk shot. We're shooting it from kind of unconventional
distances because we, we know ballpark what our conventional distances are. So
that's going to be fun. Here we go. This is probably personally the most excited I've been
for like doing something a little, a little out of the ordinary. Firewood. Fire in the hole.
70 pound hammer.
You don't know how bad I want to look right now. I want to look so bad. All right. Well,
that's really surprising me unless I wrong pinned it, but I'm pretty sure I used the right pin.
Just the wrong dial edge. And then we're going to do a traditional scoring 11, 10, 8, 5. I don't
know. It was pretty grassy, dude. I mean, I think it was a skip into it. If it was
doesn't matter, dude. Skip Scott. I'm getting five where it's sticking in is where we're
scoring it. Can't be just graze and touching it. I'm all about that graze. Where are you at? A
little high, little high foam. Hi. Okay. Okay. Let's, um, real quick. I shot mine for 45.
I shot it for 30, dude. I looked so close. Okay. Now we'll get you a confirmation.
That looked so close to me. 42. Yeah, I got 42. So what I like, what I like about this guys is,
um, I may have found the chink in Drew's armor. Let's see what we got here. This is kind of a
wild card kind of deal. You got points. I was back there grabbing the camera and I heard your
bitch ass was talking ----. You got points. Okay. This is fine. I can talk ---- the whole time.
Cause now we get to really see the errors in your equipment choices. I really hobbled them
up, dude. I'm liking this little coyote over here. Little coyote shot. Oh, okay. I'll go set
up the target cam. Over the top of the trees. I won't pace like you did. No evidence in the shot.
He didn't pace. Less room for error. That's what I'm saying. Is that the goal? Yep. You're kind of
a cutthroat son of a bitch. Kind of a rotten bastard that way. Let's call it from right here
and then I go first cause we're alternating. Different dude. What'd you dial to? 67.
A little high. I'm not telling you that. This is different. This might even be one of my new
favorite formats. Dude, it's definitely something we should do more. Okay, here we go. Gotta commit
to it, huh? It's pretty good, dude. Really quick, what'd you shoot for? I did like 25-ish. I didn't
really dial a number because I just used my 20 pin and held high. Okay, I did a 32. Andrew's
gonna get us the artichoke. Yeah, 29. 29. Let's go grab a squash. Separate them. A couple of fine
pieces of equipment. Make sure they're not touching. Grab that line, dude. Oh, yeah, you've got it.
I've got it and very unfortunately this doesn't quite look like you got it. Well, not the next
one. I got the same one you got. Well, right. Hey, what'd you get on the first one? An eight?
We're not quite Levi yet. No, five. You got a five also, so we're tied. Okay, on to the next one,
huh? Yeah, give it a yank. On camera? Yep. Quick yank. Won't that get us canceled?
Drew picks the next shot. Dealer's choice, Drew's choice. What do you got? Let's go ahead and catch
the stag. Well, we got a carpet behind us on this one, so I think it's a good opportunity to
go to the danger zone. Go deep and, you know, stretch it out a little bit. Yeah, miss on this
one and it could be big miss. Big stretch. Yeah. I want to take a quick guess here because Drew's
down there. I think this is like 70 yards. We normally shoot from just in front of this. I
kind of know where I'm at, but I don't know where I'm at, so I guess that's good. Especially you
being the wild gunslinger you are, being the crazy wild bastard that you are. I had wilder days.
I'd rather miss low on this. A little indecision? I'd rather miss low on this one than high.
Okay, I got, I got, I'm gonna stick with this. I like it. Let's do it. I'm in foam, but I don't see myself.
High. Big foam. Shot it for 70. Good man. 70.3. I tried to shoot for 70 and I just kept dialing
up and up and I ended up at 75. I first dialed to 72. That was my guess. I was like it's 72
and then I started thinking. I was like, yeah, let's go to 73. Yeah, you pinwheeled it. I did.
That might be an 11, son. That's a line all day, dude. Look at that. Yeah. So now you're up by six. I get, I get
used to hearing that. I just gotta stay in the pipe. Turkey shot here. I kind of like these small targets
and you have to be a little more precise, a little more precise, a little more detailed. The thing is,
if I'm a yard off, I'm okay. If Drew's a yard off, he might even not hit foam up in here. So
that's just a running joke, guys. Drew shoots a little heavier arrow, but because he's old long
draw guy, it's actually pretty close to the same damn energy. Here we go. A little uphill shot.
Turkey. Oh, son. Nice. You dirty bastard. Gave you a little point of aim anyway. A little something to ponder.
Tell us what you shot it for and let's hit that range. I shot it for like 24-ish, maybe 23-ish.
You holding over again? Yeah. Oh, Gap Shooter Howerton. I shot it for, I shot it for like 28.
Really? Yep. 24. Lucky son of a bitch. Way left. Guys, here's the thing about this. Very unfortunate
for Drew. It looked like he made a pretty good shot with the camera, but just a little outside
that line. Slowly, a little late. Now I get to do like what the Seahawks do and just go into a pre-vent?
I think you were already in pre-vent. So that's a 10 and an 8? Yep. Okay. All right, Kimo Sabe,
here's your choice. The world is our oyster from here on out. We got two more targets. We can kind
of, we're in the center of the range. We can kind of go wherever we please. You can believe it,
there's going to be some strategy in this choice right here. Let's hit the antelope. Oh, the lope.
Tim thinks I'm plotting. Drew's down there plotting right now. I never had a strategy.
If there's anyone I know that's scheming. I just want to win. Very competitive, although he doesn't
come off that way. Drew's very competitive and he's trying to set me up with something here
that's tough. I don't like this game. Small vitals. I'm going to go on the record about it. Here we go.
Am I losing bad enough I can talk about my broken hand?
Yeah. Did that skip? No. Are you sure? It's just grass. I thought it, I thought I heard it just
with it. I've been pretty confident in my selections for most of today, but this one's
just got me like, tough dude. How does Levi do it, huh? It's a G. Just got to get good at judging.
Not bad. So what'd you shoot it for? I shot for 52. I shot it for 45. Well, you're definitely a better
judge of yardage at short yardages than I am. 47. 47? Yeah. I hate golf. Golfers suck. No, I definitely need
to practice my judging. Bullshit. Sheet finisher here. Guys, I'm way too competitive to do something
that could like, uh, risk it here. Spare yardage. Maybe, want me to yardage it for you on this one, Drew?
Get you a little hint. You're so funny. How was it? Pretty, looking pretty good.
You want to talk about what you're seeing since it's the last one? Yeah, I guess, uh, I'm shooting
for 28 and I'm going to hold a little right because it seems like I've been impacting left all day.
My arrow's a little right of the 11, I think. Yeah, I was going to kind of try to Robinhood your arrow.
I like that.
How's your elevation? Pretty close. It's a hair low. Let's see what we're at.
Okay, I shot it for 32, I think. All right, it's 32. Wow. Good job, Tim. I'm real happy for you.
Maybe we'll make this a new running series, huh? I don't know. I'm a real sore loser.
What was that for scores? I think we're both inside the line. You're definitely inside it.
I can't tell mine for sure, but I think that's line right there. Yeah, I think so.
I'm just getting the day wrapped up shooting with Drew and I gotta say that was probably
the most fun I've had doing one of these little shooting challenges.
So, let me know what you thought of it. If you liked it, you want to see more of it,
what you'd like to see next. Subscribe to the channel, guys. We're on the road to 100k. It
means a lot to me. Yeah, let me know what you thought of that. We'll catch you back here for
the next one.
