Hi, I'm Brad, and I'm John. Now, Mission Souls finally managed to get this video up. This is one of the videos that they had problems with, they put it up and had to take it down because of copyright issues that they were getting sorted out. So it's now back up again. That's why in our videos, if the video has flames going through it, it's because it's copyrighted. Yeah, it's copyright issues. Usually with the videos, it's usually a case of, at this point in the political climate, it usually means that this video is going to be completely blocked in Russia, Belarus, and all these other places over there, and it's kind of like, okay, fine, it's just, it's incredibly annoying. And sometimes it's the music, too. Yeah, sometimes it's the music, too. But if it's blocked, that means if we don't have a block, it doesn't get aired, we can't put it up. Yeah, we can't actually put it up. Yeah, because a lot of times also it's a case of, oh, you can't use that video in America. So I'm like, well, I got it. Well, not just America, just one of our videos are like that. Anyway, ramble on about nothing. Rumble rumble. Anyway, so this time, it's just kids. So it's just Nacy, Stacey, Isaiah, and Aisha doing Smoke on the Water, a great song from Deep Purple, a great band. So for those who don't know, Smoke on the Water, sung by the English rock band, Deep Purple, which, yes, they're British, which was released on their 1972 studio album, Machine Head. It was also then, in May of 1973, it was released as a single. It's one of those odd occasions where the singles came after the album. Anyway, the song's lyrics are based on the true events chronicling the 1971 fire at the Montreal Casino in Montreal, Switzerland, which is where they were supposed to be recording this album, the Machine Head album. So the music was most, I believe most of the music was recorded at the substitute venues that they found. The lyrics weren't. The lyrics were actually done later because they got as far as an idea, music. Anyway. Yeah, they were supposed to be there when the fire broke out. Yes. You actually listen to the words, you're like, oh. Yes, the lyrics are quite literally the entire story of what happened. Basically an idiot with a flare gun at a Frank Zappa concert set fire to the casino. So they had to find a moldy filter to record. Our other channel, which was our original channel, it's Behind the Music, which is going to go into detail about. Yes, there'll be an actual video about this. If we ever get to that point, YouTube has been really strict. We've lost our other channel, too, for no reason. They just keep shutting us down. So knock on wood, this thing has happened. We didn't have much time. We're at the best place around. But some stupid with a flare gun. Burned the place to the ground. Some stupid with a flare gun? Yes. I always take that one idiot. Yes. You mentioned it. I considered mentioning it beforehand. The guitar riff intro is considered to be one of the most iconic. I mean, there's quite a few that are the most iconic. But it's another one of the most iconic guitar riff intros to a song. Well, just guitar riffs in general, really. Because it is so well known. And it just starts and it's like, oh, yeah. You know what the song is. You can pick the song up somewhere in the middle and kind of like, huh? But you hear that beginning, you know exactly what's coming. But some stupid with a flare gun. Burned the place to the ground. Smoke on the water. Fire in the sky. Smoke on the water. It burned down the gambling house. It died with an awful sound. The funky club was running in and out. Pulling kids off the ground. When it all was over, we had to find another place. But twist time was running out. It seemed that we would lose the race. Smoke on the water. A fire in the sky. Smoke on the water. More pauses for YouTube. The time limit they keep mentioning in the song was because they had a mobile recording unit. And they only had that for so much time. Plus they had somewhere else to be. But mostly they only had that recording unit for so long. It had to be somewhere else. I don't remember if anyone died in the fire. I think there were casualties, yeah. I'm pretty sure that some people did die. Because it was a casino hotel. I mean, unfortunately there have been a few in Vegas. And you know, they've got the flames out and everything. And started clearing the building. And I'm assuming it's probably a similar situation here. They found people who were... Yeah, there were machines and stuff. There was one here years ago. I can't remember what the 80s band was. And it was a small little bar venue. And they had the acoustic tile ceilings. And a lot of people died in that. I think it was in the 100s. Oh yeah, because if I remember correctly on that story. Complete sidetrack. That story, I think the fire doors were locked. Yeah, there was something with it. But that's completely unrelated. It almost seems like one of the band members died too. I think so. And I can't remember what band it was. Ask us on the postcard or in the comments. Okay, sidetrack. Sidetrack I hope. Back to the show. We ended up at the Grand Hotel. It was empty, cold and bare. Yeah, I thought this was actually another good song. For solos too. It just amazes me how young they are right now. How good they play. Well yeah, that's what I was going to say. It's kind of like, not the easiest solos in the world. To pull off well. It doesn't seem to matter what song they attempt. They pretty much ace it every time. Which is very interesting for such young kids. That is really impressive. Right. We ended up at the Grand Hotel. It was empty, cold and bare. But with the rolling trucks, don't sting. Just outside, making a music jam. With a few headlights, a few old bands. We made a place to sweat. No matter what we get out of this. I know, I know we'll never forget. Smoke on the water. Fire in the sky. Smoke on the water. And they're enjoying doing it too. I've noticed... The necklace, the square thing. All four of them had it. I noticed it on the boy tie. I've noticed them before. Is that a family thing, a religious thing? A thing to be in the studio? I don't know. I've noticed them, but I always... I'll forget by next time. Same pendant on a necklace. Curiosity. Don't know. Answers on a postcard, please. Just being nosy. Could be simply a case of... Oh yeah, they actually have a lot of little mission souls. Well, yeah. That could be it. Yeah, I've seen them before. I just can't see what it says. And I've just always noticed that. I've always noticed the girls wearing them. And I just thought that he... Probably says them as well. Just curious. Once again, I thought that was good. Another great classic rock song. They definitely have great parents and great music. Introducing them to... I'm not too sure what I just said.
