Day Trip from Taipei: Jiufen, Pingxi, Shifen & Yehliu GeoPark 🇹🇼 / Nishi V

We checked out of our hotel in Taipei and hired a driver to take us on a day trip, visiting Yehliu GeoPark, Jiufen and Shifen on the Pingxi Line.
Shifen and Jiufen are both renowned as two of the most popular day trip destinations from Taipei, each around 1 hour away, allowing you to witness the beauty of the Shifen Waterfall, releasing lanterns and the mountain town of Jiufen, known as the inspiration for the movie "Spirited Away".

We paid 5000 NTD for a non-English speaking driver for the day - an English-speaking driver costs are £50 more for the day. He picked us up from Taipei for this day trip and dropped us off in Jiaoxi. If you are planning to do a day trip, leave a comment below, and I will share his contact details.
