What's up, everyone! In this video we explore swithcing to the new Google Pixel 10 Pro XL from the iPhone 16 Pro Max, diving into the latest tech and comparing my experience during this transition from iphone to android.
Bro, I know. I know. Been with iPhone
for all these years,
but this new Pixel just came out.
Think I might say goodbye to iPhone.
Yeah, for real.
What's up everyone? My name is Jossi LJ,
but you can just call me Jossi. And I'm
really excited about today's video. It's
been quite a while since we shot a video
like this in the home office, but it's
officially TechTimber or Techtober and
arguably one of the most exciting times
of the year, if not the most exciting
time of the year because of all the
major phone launches. Last month, we had
the Samsung Galaxy Zfold 7 launch that
was much anticipated and Samsung
absolutely smashed that release and had
everybody in their mama talking about it
on Tik Tok. Switching from iPhone to
Samsung.
Last month, I switched from Apple to
Android. Tik Tok, what up? Day 11.
Never have I seen so many people people
finally realizing that Android is uh
better.
But in today's video, we're going to be
talking about the Google Pixel 10 Pro
XL. So, this whole journey started a few
weeks ago. You know, it's always a good
day when you have a field trip at
Google. And I got my customary name tag.

He said this is the moonstone.
I got a chance to see the phones before
the public and then just a few days ago
I was able to attend Made by Google
hosted by Jimmy Fallon which was such a
treat to be able to see him in person.
Feel like the time went really fast. I
can't believe this is
year two hand made by Google.
Yeah.
Dang.
What's even more exciting is that we're
here to celebrate the 10th Google Pixel.
Uh yeah. All right. Take it away.
Set up.
That is crazy. Is that a FX6?
If you
party guest to help us celebrate,
we've got a new feature called Magic Q.
No, that looks so good. But what did you
guys think?
It was so cool. It's like being at a
night show or
now I finally get a chance to unbox the
Pixel 10 Pro XL and officially switch
from my iPhone 16 Pro Max. All right, so
nothing new here when it comes to the
packaging for the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL
in jade. Google has made a big push when
it comes to sustainability and using
recycled paper with a very clean Google
branding and a preview of the device
that's inside the box. And then here on
the side, we just simply have Google
Pixel 10 Pro XL. All right, let's just
pull down these tabs.
I prefer a lid to slide open the device.
Sliding it from the side is cool, but I
always feel like I have a hard time
doing it, but this year it's a lot
smoother than the previous years, that's
for sure. And then you have this like
sketched out design of the Pixel 10 Pro
XL.
Got our instructions in here. All right,
so we lifted the lid and you're greeted
by the Pixel itself. And hopefully when
we take off this paper wrapper, we can
really see that jade color come to life.
That is so clean. It's so much more
toned down in person. And I really love
the gold frame. It looks so good. The
polished frame with the matte back. Big
fan of it. I feel like the design has
improved so much since the first ever
Pixel I used, which was the Pixel 8 Pro.
All right, I'm going to just sit this
down. All we get is a USBC to USBC cable
because Google is really leaning into
eSIM for US customers instructions, but
let's be honest, no one's ever reading
this.
It's back there.
These unboxings just get more and more
simplistic each year. Like I said,
Moonstone's still my favorite color. But
nonetheless, I'm excited to test out the
Pixel 10 Pro XL in the jade color.

So, while I'm waiting to copy over all
my apps and information from the iPhone
16 Pro Max to the Pixel 10 Pro XL, look
what we just got in the mail. Oh, I'm
fumbling all over the place. We got the
cases for the Pixel 10 Pro, Pro XL, and
the Pixel 10. They came right on time
because as beautiful as this device is,
I definitely don't want to crack the
screen or the glass back. Also, to do a
quick design comparison between both
devices, you see how the Apple logo is
really flushed and it's really hard to
tell, especially on this gray titanium
colorway. If you notice with the Pixel
10 Pro XL, the G logo is so much more
profound. Maybe it's because it has a
more shiny metallic finish. Just
something I noticed that makes the phone
look a little bit more premium than even
the 16 Pro Max. And this is the
Moonstone colorway for the Pixel 10 Pro,
which is a more muted color as well. And
you could still see the G way more
profoundly than the Apple logo on the
iPhone 16 Pro Max. Having an iPhone
being such a status symbol, especially
here in the States, aesthetics plays a
huge role. So, with the Pixel paying so
much attention to the amount of detail
and the build and the design and making
this look aesthetic but minimal at the
same time makes a huge difference in
getting iPhone users to gravitate to
Pixel.
I stopped by public records for coffee
and co-working and I couldn't resist
testing the Pixel 10 Pro XL's 48
megapixel 5x telephoto lens here and
share some of the photos I captured with
you on Instagram. The space has this
beautiful Japanese minimalistic
sensibility, clean lines, natural light,
and so much detail that Pixel just picks
up so well. Also, I thought this was the
perfect spot to show off that jade
colorway. The greenery and minimalist
design of the space really match the
vibe of this finish. It's subtle,
earthy, and premium without being too
loud.

These are some of the shots I grabbed
with the Pixel 10 Pro XL's telephoto
lens. What stood out to me is how
natural everything looks. There's a
sharpness and detail in the leaves and
textures, but it never feels
overprocessed or fake.

I forgot how good the Pixel camera is
and I was quickly reminded because I
noticed that when using this phone, I
don't have to mess around with the
settings. I don't have to use Pro Video
for the video footage to look good. I
don't need to make any changes to the
exposure. I'm shooting right out of the
camera app, not playing with any
settings outside of maybe speech
enhancement, choosing HDR. Other than
that, there aren't any customizations
that I'm making.
We switched over to the front-facing
camera, the 50 or 48 megapixel
front-facing camera, which is identical
with the iPhone 16 Pro Max. And this
looks so good. Like, I can't lie, this
looks so good. Like look at this.
Everything is pretty much exposed
perfectly. The sky is a little blown
out, but it's a frontfacing camera. It's
a phone. It's not going to be perfect,
but this is more than good enough.

Usually when I'm on Smith Street,
there's this really nice market that
always has the most beautiful
sunflowers. And today they didn't have
any, but they had this other bouquet
that included one really nice sunflower.
I have no idea where the rest of the
flowers are.
[Music]
Admittedly, I've not done a good job of
trying to protect the Pixel 10 Pro XL
and I've just been rocking it naked, but
it looks so good. The jade with the gold
rails, it's so premium. But I'm going to
actually dedicate this time to putting
the cases on all the Pixel devices that
I have. Shout out to Google for sending
over the Pixel 10 cases with Pixel Snap
and of course all the Pixel 10 devices
you see in this video. I will admit as a
iPhone user that Apple hasn't been very
innovative when it comes to their
colorways. I mean, ultramarine was a
really nice color that they released
last year, but that was only for the
iPhone 16. There's rumors that Apple's
going to be releasing an orange iPhone
17 Pro Max if I'm not mistaken, and I
hope they do because I loved product red
and the deep purple. I like that Pixel
drops fresh new colors every year. And
for example, this jade color took some
getting used to because I'm not the
biggest fan of like a lime green gold
combination. I don't typically get gold
phones anyways, but it's subtle enough
that it works. And the gold rails really
make the phone premium and pop even
more. And even the details in the camera
bar, like having a brushed gold camera
bar looks so good in person. And we also
have the indigo Pixel 10 case. And we
have the Moonstone Pixel 10 Pro case. So
we got Moonstone on Moonstone. And if
you are an avid iPhone user and you like
the silicone case, these are just like
the iPhone silicone cases. So, this is
another example of how Google is
bridging the gap and making it easier
for iPhone users to transition to
Android Pixel to be specific. All right.
So, we're testing the improved
stabilization
using the ultra wide lens right now for
this chill 5 mile run.
[Music]
During my four mile run, I tested out
the image stabilization, which is one of
the big upgrades for the Pixel 10 Pro.
And you'll really notice in the
ultrawide shots, even when I went for a
run, the clip stayed smooth in a way
that feels almost gimbalike. I also
tested the 100x digital zoom for the
first time, and this is where the ProRes
zoom really flexes. I was able to
capture details on the sides of
buildings in totally different islands,
which is kind of wild for a phone. And
when you compare the ProRes Zoom to a
regular zoom shot, you'll notice how
much more detail gets preserved. It's
one of those features that really shows
the true power of this camera.

Over the past year, I've become
increasingly drawn to the Google Pixel
ecosystem. For one, I've essentially
replaced my iPad Pro with a Pixel
tablet. I love docking the tablet on top
of my Husky. The speaker that you can
attach it to sounds incredible. It does
not move from my husky. I stumbled upon
this feature today where I was able to
hand off Spotify from my Pixel 10 Pro XL
to the Pixel tablet by just having the
devices near each other. And that's an
example of that seamless type of
connectivity that iPhone users love with
the Apple ecosystem. You don't have to
dig for features where you're able to
connect devices. And I've been using the
PixelBuds Pro for the last year anyways.
So having find my hub as a replacement
for find my and also being able to use
the Bluetooth connected devices settings
to customize my PixelBuds Pro and keep
track of the battery life has been a
game changer.

Thank you guys for tuning in and give
this video a thumbs up if you want to
see a more comprehensive review of the
Pixel 10 Pro XL. As always, have a
blessed rest of your week. I'll see you
guys soon. Peace.
