This unit is themed around food. In the first lesson, the students learned to recognize and name six fruits: an apple, an orange, grapes, a banana, a pear, and blueberries. They also learned to say whether they like or dislike a fruit, and whether it is good or not good. The second lesson allowed them to recognize and name six fruits and their colors: a red apple, a green pear, a yellow banana, an orange orange, purple grapes, and blue blueberries, as well as to formulate short sentences. The third lesson introduced them to recognizing and naming the different steps in the fruit salad recipe. In the fourth lesson, which will take place over two sessions, the children will discover the story Bon appétit! and will use everything they have learned in the previous lessons to understand the story.
