Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind Preview Media Day and Huge Party!!

hey guys this is jenna with resort dv1 and today we're here at epcot we are in the guardians of the galaxy area and i'm so excited we get a preview today of guardians of the galaxy it opens may 27th but we get a preview today and i cannot wait i'm so excited check it out there's even a cool stage back here we're gonna do a couple interviews as well and of course ride the ride have some more fun tonight so hope you guys enjoy the video [Applause] [Music] hmm [Music] [Music] oh my goodness this is my first time coming in here oh it's amazing it's a big stage set up over here oh my goodness i'm gonna wait till after my interviews to ride the ride because my interview is coming up soon but wow so we're inside the connections cafe and eatery this is where our first interview area is at food and beverage let's go check it out so we have dee here this morning and are you one of the chefs here and i am the executive chef here at epcot i share the park with my partner awesome okay well i have um tried some of the food here and what i've tried amazing good amazing i've had the bistro burger i think it's my favorite burger you know what i'm having you and about a thousand other guests right absolutely good and then um another thing i love that you did was um a dairy free option for a milkshake because i am mango coconut so good too pomegranate molasses on top it hits a lot of buttons for our guests it really does because along with that we also have an apple pie shake yeah if you're looking for something to bring you into um i don't know it's cinnamon it's apple it's just got whipped cream and cinnamon sugar on the rim it is absolutely delicious i tried a little bit but i am dairy free so i the other one was my favorite well i hope you tried our uh dairy free pizza we have a plant-based pizza that's on my list it's good it is absolutely fabulous it's got some dairy-free cheese we have a tikka masala sauce which got a little bit of spice in it okay coconut milk some chilies and then we top it with a plant-based yogurt with a lot of lime call it a lime crema and then cilantro on top on our homemade crust which we make in our pizza pot just on the other side oh that's awesome you know every time i come in here it smells amazing so i didn't know if it was pizza dough or waffles that i'm smelling probably a little both right behind me we're making our leash waffles which are absolutely fabulous they're made fresh we top them with fresh chantilly cream chocolate and strawberries and who could go wrong with all of that no you really can't and i've had it so good good so good good so um my question is do you think the menu will change throughout it you know we're in we're evolving the whole piece here and connections is connecting people with food if you notice our 160 foot murals there's so much there there's corn from mexico and apples from turkey and i think this menu is ever evolving some of the things that are enjoyed the most about this menu is the diversity of the menu we have a southwest burger chemoy sauce on top we have a burger we have some avocado salsa on top of that and some apoca cheese it's delicious seven ounce bistro uh a pub burger it's absolutely fabulous and it just bangs on all the flavors top that with some corn salsa with a little bit of spice to it the whole thing is absolutely fabulous and of course you can have it without cheese right that's true right you can have that option as well and also i didn't know if you knew this that we use all our mayonnaise base is also plant-based i did not so coleslaw is plant-based so all our sauces on top of our burgers are plant-based oh my goodness so you could actually have that without the cheese yeah oh that's so cool another option opened up for you i love that oh my goodness because i'm always jealous of my husband because he can have all the dairy and um but you'll be surprised all over epcot and all over walt disney world there's so many options and we try to keep that in mind when we develop menu yes and i love that i feel like disney is one of the friendliest we're accommodating exactly i love that oh my goodness well thank you so much for your before we begin i should warn you that we have never teleported terrorists were poor but central you do not want to know what happened last time someone did not stand where i told them to okay stand by for teleportation everyone is here we go [Music] you made it i mean of course you did nova prime you're ready excellent what you see before is the cosmic generator and in just a few moments we'll be activating it so you can experience it for yourself what's happening i'm not sure our power's up and the cosmic generator is gone go to code red prepare the fleet and call the gardens now there is no cause for a lot turn off that alarm i've got an important transmission coming in hey what's up our cosmic generator has been stolen what how why didn't we think of that that thing's gotta be worth the fortune good question what do you think perhaps [Music] i'm not crazy at all [Music] [Music] what's going on is [Music] [Music] the odds are impossible yeah but it's our only shop good luck are you sure you can control it come on it's me we got this we're all toast first cake now there is toast this plant is making me so hungry tear it listen up you need to make your way to the evacuation shuttles now tell me what i'm on are you tearing still there everything is under control we do hope you enjoyed your free visit with us over and out could just make it any worse [Music] guys this is incredible there's nothing else like this i've never seen anything like this at epcot it's amazing [Music] so oh my goodness i just got off the ride and like mind blown like i don't even have words um when i got off the ride one of the imagineers asked how i liked it of course loved it loved it unlike any ride i've ever written like seriously um but he asked what track i got um music track and i was like i don't even remember i was it was like so amazing i was taking it all in but he said you get a different track each time so we're gonna ride it again we're gonna ride it again oh my goodness so cool and just my mouth was like on the ground the entire time and i only got a little bit queasy and i do get motion stickers um so it wasn't bad for me now good thing i took my headband off because it would have blown off for sure you can tell my ears are wind blown um from the right so definitely take off all your ears all your headbands so amazing i cannot wait for josh to ride it it was so weird writing it by myself for the first time but so uh we'll get to write it again all right guys we have chris and megan with us today and um i just got off the ride so i'm like speechless basically amazing and um can you tell us a little bit about it and maybe where you got the inspiration um just anything you want to tell us about the ride i'm excited what was your favorite part okay so i think the imagery like just being a member just being immersed like i literally felt like i was in space oh that's great so cool chris is the visual effects supervisor for guardians of the galaxy cosmic rewind so hearing that you were loving some of the images you saw makes me really happy very happy because that was what we were trying to do yeah okay that's awesome bring your favorite guardians you know here to epcot to life with you yeah oh my god the goal was to take you through space exactly like you described so and as you saw there's a whole story there there's a big villain there's a lot of things we tried to surprise you with so adding to that thrill was important to us i'm really really happy that you had a fun time i did oh my goodness like i said i'm like speechless still i don't even know what to say but um so one thing i was thinking of so i have been to uh disneyland paris and been on crush's coaster and i was just curious is it similar right like do you do you know what the way it is it is an omni coaster so it actually can rotate you 360 degrees wow so i don't know if you noticed it but there is i do some people don't realize what's going on but yeah that's what makes it really unique we can actually turn you towards some of those screens so when you're seeing that action happening that's by design we tried to plan that accordingly and it's disney's only on the coaster so you're never gonna anywhere else in the parks right now this is the only place you can experience that okay wow okay it was amazing also this is so cool can you tell me a little bit about this that we're seeing here yeah this is we're in the wonders of zandar pavilion in epcot world showcase and it's where the zandarians have come down to earth and set up a pavilion to teach us earthlings as terrans as they call us about zandar and also we get to learn about our own galaxy there's real science in here that you're going to experience in the first area of the attraction yeah and it's hosted by world mine the zandarian supercomputer so they get taken on a journey across the galaxy which we learn about andromeda our closest neighbor which is actually where zandar resides so you get to see some beautiful space imagery as you can see and it's a great show we really tried to put it at a run time that guests would get to see something new the entire time they're in this room i was going to ask don't get bored yeah that's a yeah this would be a perfect spot to wait yeah nice in the indian air conditioning yeah it's already hot outside oh it's amazing okay i just want to say thank you because this ride is phenomenal and i cannot wait to ride it again oh i'm so glad to hear that we can't wait for everyone to experience it and you know be here may 27th come save the galaxy yes thank you okay we're in the shop tell you about the ride in a moment but oh my goodness look at some of the this merch an amazing shirt oh my goodness this retro mug oh my word i love that and the hip pack so cute oh my goodness also the tank top not gonna touch anything so i'm not gonna look at prices for you guys today but we'll be back don't worry it's even coasters retro water bottle oh my goodness and you get your very own star blaster vehicle this backpack is pretty cool too there's a keychain okay there's a price i can see on this one 16.99 for the keychain of course lots of little baby groots oh my goodness there is a baby groot succulent oh my word okay i might have to have that [Music] so cute there's even more merch over here goodness so amazing oh my goodness check this mug out okay that is amazing what a cool design i love the shirt too it's 39.99 for the shirt look at the bag just wondering about this bag let's see how much it is oh looks like 39.99 so that's not bad of course you can get your jacket like star-lord oh my goodness okay yeah this might have to come on with me when we can buy stuff 34.99 get that hat okay there's so much cool merch oh i passed over this how did i pass over this it's so shiny the inside of the shop is so cool too i just spotted this baby groot he's adorable this guy's chatting with everybody about earlier uh with that amazing chef and uh yeah we were talking about i was like okay i gotta get this so i remember how good it was and now that i know that the mayo is plant-based like i'm so excited yummy okay guys so i am done for now have my coffee so i'm gonna go home and edit what i did last night or what josh and i did last night and then um come back because josh is gonna come too and we're gonna ride the ride again and uh enjoy more uh festivities tonight so heading home to edit well hey everybody i'm here josh is here yay finally finally made it from school it was a long day but i made it super excited i got my epcot shirt on we got our passes here we're ready to go uh i have not seen the ride yet jenna says it's amazing two times so you've probably already heard a little bit about that and uh probably depending on how we edit this you've probably already seen some of it probably but jenna's gonna show my reaction as we go through the queue and you know as much on the right is what we can show without you know feeling uncomfortable we also have a party tonight we're going to do a little bit of a mix and mingle galaxy mix and mingling that's going to be awesome so they actually just cleared the area a few minutes ago and asked everybody to come back in a little while so they're going to be playing something really cool looks like josh tomorrow's going to speak yeah and it looks like maybe some pyrotechnics that they're putting on the roof up there and a band oh my goodness there's a rumor that the m80s are gonna perform what okay well that makes sense because they're yeah talking about 80s music 80s music so they might be performing in medley of some of our favorite 80s hits so i don't know what that was it was a bird seriously bad luck with birds but guys definitely stay tuned to the rest of this video to see what happens that's right we're gonna go check out the world show place now it's another media station so let's go check it out all right we are here in world show place the media center everybody's waiting for the big party tonight we've got all these tables set up with laptops loaner laptops for everybody to use and uh we got some guardians of the galaxy swag here and jenna is having a snack so i'll show you what we got here this hat it's really cool and of course a fanny pack because nothing says 80s like that but here is the coolest thing this is a bluetooth speaker look at that it's a bluetooth speaker shaped like a cassette tape that's amazing i love it there's also a battery charger i'll get that out here in just a second but yeah cool stuff and by the way not only do they have the laptops they have like little charging stations and hand sanitizer and all kinds of stuff little notepads so yeah very deluxe love it all right so here's the battery with the cosmic rewind logo on it and again here's the bluetooth speaker cassette tape which is so cool yeah awesome very well done so josh is wearing the swag the hat it's really nice so good i didn't put the bag on yet but he's not going to wear it as a fanny pack but no the cool thing is to put it you know across your body all right yeah so you got to get the coolness you gotta be cool gotta be cool mine i just put my backpack for now but we are heading now over to guardians again um for the mix and mingle party should be starting pretty soon i know i can't wait for josh to write it it was so weird writing it by myself i'm not gonna lie josh but i enjoyed it nonetheless nonetheless it was amazing but i did i did miss you but i wrote it twice that's like me with the uh with the slinky dog dash i did ride that yes a lot of times at least i didn't write it nine times all right we're waiting to get into the party it's pretty full in here let's do attraction who got a chance to ride it's insane it's hard to describe it is amazing our imagineers have done an incredible job i got to give a shout out to kevin feige from marvel and his team to the walt disney world team and of course our cast members who are here every day making magic for a guest let's give them a huge round of applause [Applause] okay if you're ready for some good food some is gonna ride for the very first time there's a bar set up over here and uh yeah we're gonna hopefully get on the ride we're gonna of your see gravitational forward [Music] as you might imagine our energy needs are fast our ocean males in our waterways [Music] to residential neighborhoods [Music] this is so cool we didn't get to look at this earlier today because they were doing interviews back in here [Music] wow how cool [Music] [Music] [Music] is this what you thought it would look like not really i mean i didn't look at any pictures or anything on purpose me too [Music] oh my goodness i'm blown away guys i'm not going to fall i'm not that blown away but wow literally i i actually was crying because it was so good that ride my new favorite roller coaster i don't think there's a way to describe it you have to just do it there yeah there doesn't exist another ride like that it doesn't exist i thought oh maybe it'll be kind of like hyper space mountain no it wasn't it was like being in space literally the rotation around the vehicle like you don't never you never know which way you're going to go you don't never oh my goodness like i don't want to give too many spoilers but wow i don't have any i'm speechless that was it that was me too i know i'm not making any sense but i wanted to get my reaction like right after that was incredible i don't even know what else to say oh it looks like m80s here hold on oh fire oh my goodness we walked out we went on the ride and we walked out to this how cool is that oh my goodness it is here 80s josh wow oh my goodness that's so cool [Music] all right i just missed it but there was firearms [Music] [Applause] from [Music] [Applause] here's some of the desserts not quite sure what they are but they look delicious i don't know what these are [Music] these look like they're cake balls [Music] raspberry cherry bomb all right let's get one so it's kind of like a cupcake a tiny little cupcake so there's lines everywhere for food not very long lines though there's also a green over here to watch the m80s from over here these are little salad cups they're all lit up that's cool some of the bars are well the bars are awesome mix tapes that's super cool so they literally turned this entire area into a party this is crazy this whole area over here literally chicken with spicy slaw well i see okay this is all spicy i don't know what these are but they look really cute i have to get one they're like a little ornament things and get your can mango shrimp champagne porridge mushrooms all right all right let's try this all right what do we have here some kind of a chocolate godiva vodka drink chocolate godiva yeah [Music] so you said vodka as well wow okay [Music] anyway did i see you dancing back there no you don't know what you were talking about did tara finally produce a band to make no nonsense tomorrow warrior and assassin wanna dance i am not an assassin i am a guardian a guardian [Music] fear not we it one more time so that'll be four for me before it closed um and josh is either writing it right now or getting off the right i'm not sure he's not messaging me back but i thought i better get on it because it's not close so go ride it this will be four times this is none other than drax the destroyer see michelle's wife dude [Music] um [Music] listen up you need to make your way to the evacuate [Music] a cotton zandarian as we exit oh this is cool here with space shippers all lit up this is the ship all right so we got our own coaster train on that ride that was amazing we were in the front row of it was so cool that was incredible so they're wrapping up here it's raining and so we're getting out of here but this was awesome guys wow so what an amazing night tonight oh my goodness it was like the best night ever so clearly beyond belief the party was epic yeah the band was epic and of course the ride my first time on the ride that was absolutely incredible you got cast members getting in on the end of the video here too it's awesome and by the way the cast members have been excellent as always but they're super they were super excited about the ride a lot of them got to ride with us again it was cool and it was fun seeing the imagineers too that helped design the ride and um yeah they got our we got our impressions josh tomorrow yes that was awesome we got to see quill and gamora yeah that was cool a lot of fun the food everything guys it was just it was a great one all the pyrotechnics that went along with the performances it was really pretty crazy i think some of the same stage setup they use for china which is really cool yeah you're right very very cool and again the ride oh my goodness it's epic it's mind-blowing it's worth all the hype 100 for all you guys to ride it it really is and you know i'm not going to really compare it to ryze because it's a totally different ride it's like comparing apples and oranges but i just will say you will if you like coasters at all you will enjoy it as much as ryze and it's not just a coaster there's a lot more to it yeah and so you definitely have to see it to believe it musical people yes jenna's almost getting tired so a big thank you to disney for inviting us out thank you so much super generous um they've just been amazing this entire time and again like i said they don't tell us anything to say or anything they just ask do you have any questions what can we do for you and have a great time have so much fun yeah so and we truly were blown away by the ride the imagineers did an incredible job and i'll be honest with you i was one of these people that said epcot doesn't need a roller coaster no me too but now i'm just super excited that because it was that type of a coaster it's amazing and what i love is it's kind of like fitting in pandora an animal kingdom where you know they're fictitious animals or creatures you know from alien planets now you've got a fictitious world as part of epcot and space travel that's kind of cool oh yeah it's true yeah and um i don't know i was excited for it because i love guardians of the galaxy and um they went above my expectation like way above what i thought it was going to be oh absolutely so this has been an incredible night again thanks to disney and um just thank you for watching and supporting us that we wouldn't have gotten to do any
