China’s Tofu Towers Are Collapsing One by One – The Nightmare Exposed
"This is no longer about half-built ghost towns left in silence. The crisis has evolved into something more terrifying—shiny new apartments decaying almost the moment people move in. Each viral clip of ceilings caving in, balconies bending, or walls splitting apart adds fuel to the spreading panic. These buildings aren’t relics from the past; they are newly finished, sold as modern homes, and already crumbling.
In Henan’s Xingyun Garden, residents discovered jagged cracks running down their walls barely a year and a half after moving in. A single storm brought part of the ceiling down, sending water pouring into bedrooms and exposing corroded steel inside the concrete. The complex had officially “passed” safety checks. In Changsha, another newly built tower was emptied in a rush when unsettling noises echoed through its stairwell. Experts later revealed the foundation had shifted, tilting the structure centimeters off center. Families fled in fear before they had even settled into their new homes."
