Is this heaven on Earth? Disko Bay is one of the most stunningly jaw-dropping water bodies on the planet, brimming with towering icebergs, slushy waters, and more blue-hued icy views than you'd ever thought possible in this lifetime. This is without a doubt the top attraction in Greenland, and I was eager to get out on the water to explore Disko Bay and icy waters firsthand.

For my journey, I went with Disko Line Explorer (NOT sponsored!) and paid $105 USD or so for the 2.5 hour sightseeing cruise. I hadn't prepared myself for just how serene and stunning this journey actually is; I had expected a few dozen sedan-sized ice chunks floating in the otherwise flat but serene waters. Instead, we were thrust headfirst into a kingdom of ice as far as the eye can see, with many towering above the ship like skyscrapers - literally hundreds of feet tall.

Disko Bay is an incredible place, and you'd be wise to add this place to your bucket list before the rest of the world discovers that it exists. For now, it's the perfect place to get off the grid and enjoy some of the most beautiful sights you'll ever encounter on planet Earth.
