Hello and welcome back to Deutsch mit Lari.
If you're new here, hello, I'm Lari, a German teacher,
and together we're learning German here.
In the last German learning vlog,
we walked through the English garden together.
And hopefully you learned a lot of new words.
And today it's your turn,
because in this video we're repeating the learned words
and we're not training our muscles,
no, but speaking.
Because you probably don't just want to understand German,
but above all to be able to speak, right?
And that's exactly why I've brought two methods for you.
So listen carefully, because that's how our speaking training is going to go today.
In step one you'll hear the whole dialogue.
In step two we'll speak sentence by sentence.
So you'll hear a sentence and then you'll speak it.
And finally, in step three, we'll speak, you and I, in sync.
So we'll speak the whole dialogue at the same time.
So you'll speak along with me,
and you'll concentrate on the speed of the speech
and on the rhythm of the speech.
Well then, have fun!
Step one. Listen.
Hello Lari, nice to see you.
Hello, nice to see you too.
How are you?
I'm doing very well, thank you, and you?
I'm doing well too.
What did you do on the weekend?
On Saturday I was in the English garden
and on Sunday I didn't do anything.
I was just at home.
Where is the English garden?
The park is in Munich.
Is it a big park?
Yes, in fact it is the biggest city park in Germany.
So the biggest park in a city.
Oh wow, cool!
And what can you do in this park?
Well, you can go for a walk,
you can sit on the meadow,
you can have a picnic,
and you can swim.
That sounds nice.
And what did you do in the park on Saturday?
I went for a walk with my dog.
Did you see flowers?
Yes, I saw a lot of wildflowers.
White flowers, yellow flowers, purple flowers.
Huh? What are wildflowers?
These are flowers that simply grow in the wild.
Okay, I understand.
And did you see animals?
Yes, I saw squirrels, butterflies, bees, and fish.
Oh yes, and flies and mosquitos, of course.
Fish? Where did you see fish?
I saw the fish in the stream.
Stream? What is a stream?
Well, a stream is a small river.
A stream is narrower and not as deep as a river.
And the water often flows slower than in a river.
Ah, I understand.
Did you also go over a bridge?
Yes, we also crossed a bridge.
Did you also have a picnic?
Well, not a real picnic, not a big picnic.
But I had my picnic blanket with me
and a drinking bottle, an apple and chips for snacking.
And did you sit in the sun or in the shade?
I sat in the sun.
And did you eat your apple?
Yes, but first I cut it open with a pocket knife.
Did you cut the apple into slices?
No, first into wedges and then into smaller pieces.
And tell me, did Taco also get a piece?
Yes, Taco also got a small piece.
How long did you stay in the park?
I stayed until about 8 p.m.
Did you still see the sunset there?
Yes, I observed the sun as it went down behind the trees.
Ah, that sounds like a nice Saturday.
Yes, the day was very relaxed.
And you, what did you do on the weekend?
I did great.

Hello Lari, nice to see you.
Hello, nice to see you too.
How are you?
I'm fine, thank you. And you?
I'm fine too.

Yes, the day was very relaxed.
And you, what did you do on the weekend?
Great, applause for you, well done.
Practice this dialogue a few more times,
because the more often you practice speaking,
the more fluid and secure you become.
And if you still want to practice your writing in addition,
then answer the last question of the dialogue.
Namely, how was your weekend?
What did you do on the weekend?
Or what are you doing on the weekend?
So until next time.
Have fun learning German.
Bye.
