A football disaster and every sense of the word Tottenham had the trophy in their hands and suddenly,
the dream evaporated, in seconds, as Paris Saint-Germain rose from the dead, in the dying
moments. The match began with the perfect scenario for Spurs Van de Ven,
pouncing on the rebound off the crossbar to break the deadlock and PSG fans started to fear the
worst. And then, Romero Tottenham's new captain soaring above everyone to double the lead.
2-2-0, and the clock said the trophy was heading to London but the cruel game had something
cooking. TSG, fresh back from their break after losing the Club World Cup, decided to wake up
Lee Kongin saying. No the party isn't over yet. A rocket from outside the box brought back hope.
And then the catastrophe. Minute 90 for seconds from the final whistle, substitute Ramos flying
in between the defenders. And heading the ball into the net shattering Tottenham's dreams in a
moment that shook all of Italy. Penalties PSG miss their first. The Spurs fans started to believe
again that Van de Ven hero of the opening goal turns into a nightmare and misses. TSG keep up
the drama until Nuno Mendes steps up for the last kick and writes history PSG. UEFA Super Cup
champions for the first time. Tottenham second European trophy in three months. No. Mate not
tonight, Frank, who's only just taken over after postacutless sacking. Taste a bitter defeat, in
his very first competitive match. And the best part. Spurs fans themselves are split half say it
was a historic performance. The other half say. This is the beginning of Frank's end before it
even starts. And to make matters worse PSG have now completed their English execution list. City.
Liverpool. Villa. Arsenal and finally Spurs. The bottom line if you're a PSG fan. Celebrate
and hold your head high if you're Spurs you'd better. Toughen up before the Premier League
kicks off. Because what's coming won't be forgiving. And the big question. Was this
just Frank's first slap in the face or the beginning of a nightmare series for Spurs fans?
