Four residences of King Ludwig II of Bavaria have been added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Neuschwanstein Castle, along with Herrenchiemsee Palace, Linderhof Castle and the King's Castle on Schachen were already a major attraction in Germany's southern region, but the new heritage listing will likely bring in even more visitors.

Neuschwanstein Castle is a castle in the village of Schwangau near Füssen in southern Germany built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. It is the most famous of Ludwig II's castles and one of Germany's most popular tourist attractions. Wikipedia
