Giant RC Short SB.4 Sherpa |Heavy! 65 kg Turbine Jet |Fine Scale Model Flies At Flight Show

The Short SB.4 Sherpa from the British manufacturer Short Brothers was a research aircraft for the Royal Air Force's V-bomber program in the 1950s. Chief designer David Keith-Lucas tried to use this aircraft to develop a wing for high speeds at high altitudes.
The huge RC Short SB.4 Sherpa shown here is a 1:2 replica of the research aircraft. The model is extremely detailed based on the original. The Dutch model maker Erik van den Hoogen needed three and a half years to build this unique RC plane.
