Sanibel Island Shelling + Virtual Beach Walk. Shell hunting in the seashell capital of the world.

Shelling on Sanibel Island is always a treat. The island is beautiful and even when there isn't much to find - we find something! This video is from a few weeks ago, but I wanted to share what we found and make sure I'm getting those to the beach who can't get there themselves.

Sanibel is world famous for its shells - it is uniquely situated in a more East to West direction so it tends to scoop up more shells than the other islands which have a North to South orientation.

One of the things we love most about shelling Sanibel Island is the particular walk we normally choose to do. There isn't much beach access so we really only encounter other shellers who live close or walk as many miles as we do to find shells.
