Florida Shelling at the Sanibel Lighthouse Beach was a brisk way to start my day. Winter shelling sure does come with it's challenges - the cold being one! We were going to be experiencing negative low tides and I really want to find a horse conch. I'm pretty convinced Sanibel is where I'm going to find it and since the tides were really low, I thought I would have better access to shallow water and stumble across my horse conch.

The tide was low but I didn't find what I was expecting. I don't think this Sanibel Lighthouse beach likes me. I've been here a few times and have left with great pictures and ZERO shells. On this particular day I did happen to find a few things to talk about, including 2 squishy critters that I've never seen before and a fossil that is over a million years old!

Florida shelling is teaching so many things! Follow me on social media for sneak peeks and photos of the locations I've been to.
