Part two of our cosy winter escape, just an hour from Melbourne, takes us deeper into the charm of the Victorian countryside.

We wake slowly in our dreamy church-converted Airbnb, letting the morning light pour in, before heading out to a local farmer’s market for fresh produce and small-town chatter. A scenic drive takes us to the neighbouring town of Woodend for brunch and a wander through its little shops.

In the afternoon, we visit the iconic Hanging Rock — a misty walk through nature’s beauty — before settling in for tea and warm scones. Back at the Airbnb, we end the day by the open fire, roasting marshmallows under the winter sky.
