Château de Serrant

Château de Serrant is a Renaissance castle located in the Loire Valley, 15 km west of Angers. The castle is the private residence of Prince Merode but is open to visitors. Wikipedia
The Renaissance castle was built on the foundations of a medieval fortress. It has been owned by the Brie family since the 14th century. Charles de Brie came up with the idea of modernizing it in the early 16th century, but due to lack of funds the project was stopped, with only the North Tower being completed.
