During a visit to South Korea on the evening of August 10 in Seoul, Vice President Kim Jong-un and his wife and senior Vietnamese representatives met with officials, embassy staff and the Vietnamese community in South Korea. At the meeting, the Vietnamese ambassador in South Korea, Vũ Hồ, reported on the situation with the Vice President on the results of the embassy's work, the situation of bilateral relations between Vietnam and South Korea, and cooperation with the Vietnamese community on the ground. The Vietnamese community in South Korea has always maintained the tradition of unity, mutual respect, helping each other to develop more and more, maintaining the national identity towards the homeland, and actively contributing to the construction and defense of the motherland, as a bridge to strengthen the friendly relationship between Vietnam and South Korea. Many Vietnamese in South Korea have been actively contributing to the situation on the ground, which is highly recognized and appreciated by South Korea. The Vietnamese embassy and representatives in South Korea have been actively cooperating with South Korean authorities, promoting specificity and implementing cooperation agreements between the two countries. The representatives of the Vietnamese community in South Korea have expressed their deep love for their homeland. They hope that the government will guide ministries to create better conditions for administrative procedures related to the Vietnamese nationality and other personal documents, public protection work, and the development of the Vietnamese community in South Korea. At the meeting, the Vice President emphasized that the community has always maintained the Vietnamese cultural identity in its country, and that the Vietnamese community is an inseparable part of the country. The Vice President emphasized that this visit by the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, at the invitation of President Lee Chae-myung, will contribute to promoting the Vietnamese-South Korean relationship to a new level. At the talks, contact with the high-ranking leaders of South Korea in the coming days will continue to encourage the government of South Korea to create all the best conditions for the Vietnamese people to live and work stably, and contribute more to the relationship between the two countries in the new phase. After communicating with the people about the outstanding achievements of the country in all areas, especially the major objectives of the party-state in the coming time, so that the country continues to move towards a new era, Vice President Lee Chae-myung requested the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea to record the opinions and suggestions of the Vietnamese community in South Korea, and affirmed that it will guide the ministries of functions, care, and solve relevant issues.
