Congrats are in order for so many things, but let's start with the show.
Congrats. It's already receiving so much buzz.
What does that mean to you?
I'm very excited. I'm really proud of this one.
I thought everyone did exceptional work.
Really happy with the way it came out.
You know, sometimes it just all comes together in a special way.
And I feel like it did here.
You were a force in this show.
And I mean, in all the work that you put out, I am such a fan.
And there were some heavy moments in the show, of course.
So what did you do to kind of shake off anything that felt like too much?
You know, honestly, we had a really fun cast.
So every day at work in between takes, there was a lot of laughter.
You know, there was a lot of camaraderie.
It was it was good vibes.
Yeah. Now the church choir, it is everything to candy.
Girl didn't even want to leave it if she had to.
For you, what is the church choir for you?
Like, what would you just be devastated over if you had to let it go?
Oh, my dogs.
Well, my daughter, I guess, I mean, God, that's by the way, new dad, a new girl.
Dad, I love that.
I know we're you're new to like having a child.
So now, you know, she's everything. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
I mean, I guess the family is what I'd say first.
What about hobbies like or things that you do or things that you love to?
I don't know. Reading.
If I if I had to give up reading, I don't know what I'd do.
No, it is a day night for you.
I see. I mean, your baby's two weeks old, barely.
And mama is out here.
What does that mean to have that support from kids?
Oh, it's incredible.
And it's so nice to get dressed up with her and go out and have a fun night.
You know, she's been so amazing.
She's an incredible mom.
We've already asked for like 20 pictures of the baby on the hour right here.
And I'm sure we'll be leaving early.
But it's special. The beautiful night.
Good people. Yeah.
I don't think I did anything for my husband
10 days after we gave birth to our baby girl.
So let me just say mad props.
And she's out here like so supportive, taking photos of you, getting that BTS.
Like what a gal.
I know she's amazing. She's the greatest.
I am so in love with her.
Tomorrow is four weeks, to be fair.
Oh, my God. Oh, OK.
OK, four weeks.
We read the wrong article, then it's four weeks.
OK, wow. All right.
Now, do you guys go over scripts together when it comes to taking on new projects
and like advise each other?
Hey, maybe you should do that or shouldn't do that.
It's a great question. And we do.
Yeah, ever since we've met, I always send her everything that I'm going to read.
And she does the same.
And it's really helpful.
I mean, obviously, she's so smart.
Sometimes she sees something that I don't.
And it's helped a lot.
Congratulations on Love and Death.
The work that you did is being called transformative.
And after seeing it, I agree.
What does this type of buzz mean to you?
Oh, I don't really know much about that.
But I really loved.
Hi, Kaylee.
Hi, you look beautiful.
Wow. You look beautiful.
Mom, 10 days out of giving birth, like
I, I felt really lucky to have a job like this
where I could step into shoes where it's not about me
playing like a really super grounded,
subtle version of myself.
It's really nice to be able to step into some.
Do you want me to get the light out of your face?
It'd be really.
Yeah, I really enjoyed being able to step into a different
type of character shoes.
It made me feel more free in my body for someone that was further outside myself.
I was asking Patrick how you guys would shake off heavy moments between scenes.
And he was like, you know, Lizzie would just I mean, one second we're filming
the next, we're, you know, talking off cam, whatever.
And then she's back to crying as soon as they yell action.
Like it was nothing. And I'm crying.
And it's like it wasn't too crazy to shake it off.
But like, what was your mindset going in and out in between scenes?
Yeah, I'm not I'm not an actor that holds on to stuff, really.
I think the only there's one moment where it I was, I think,
shocked by a physical reaction I had after a scene.
And and I in my mind, I just think, oh, that's good.
That's informative.
Maybe I should try and figure out we do this scene for two days.
Maybe I can try and figure out how to feel that way every time,
which is really hard.
But yeah, I don't I my experience of doing something doesn't matter to me.
It's about trying to make sure it works within whatever we are filming.
And I don't I find a little boring to think too much about my own experience in it.
Now, Candy, the church choir, it means everything to her.
She didn't even want to lose it when she was advised to step away.
What is your church choir?
What is my church choir?
What would you just be devastated over if you had to let go of it?
My job. I really love being an actor.
I I think I can step away like I'd like to think of a world where
there's like I live three different lives
as an adult or at least three.
But I think right now I'm having a lot of fun
doing my job and I would like to not step away from it right now.
OK, well, I do know you're working hard on becoming a stoner.
How is that going for you?
It was a solid week's effort.
We got we got the Matrix in.
We got Trolls World Tour in.
And that's how long it lasted.
Great selections. Let me tell you, I agreed.
Congrats again. Have so much fun tonight.
Thank you very much.
