Kun is a four-year-old boy born to an executive mother and an architect father, who lives in a small house with a small tree in a small yard in the corner of a city. One day, Kun's mother brings home a new family member, Kun's new little sister "Mirai". For the four year old boy, his joyful and love filled childhood quickly turns to disappointment when the new family member replaces her brother as the center of attention, leaving him unable to accept his new sibling in his life. However, things take a magical turn when, with a mysterious garden as his gateway, the boy encounters his mother as a little girl and his great-grandfather as a young man. Additionally, he gets involved in a series of surprising adventures with his sister from 14 years in the future. These experiences reshape Kun's world, allowing him to become the big brother he always could have been and to discover the joys of family love.
