Bud the Beaver's Muddy Dam. Bud the Beaver was a clever little bud. He loved to build things, especially with mud and mud. One rainy morning, the river was too high. I need to build a dam! Bud cried to the sky. He started to gather sticks with the happy sun. Then he mixed them with sticky dark mud. Bud worked hard. He dug and he pushed. His paws got all muddy from his head to his toes. But his dam was growing as everyone knows. A tiny duckling named Bud waddled near. Can I help, buddy? He asked without any fear. Bud smiled. Of course, little Bud. Come help! Every piece of mud was carefully hushed. Together they worked. Building the dam was a yelp. They packed more mud with the determined sun. The river started to calm. Oh, it was so good! When the dam was finished, Bud was so glad. It was the strongest, best dam he'd ever had. Bud and Pug sat by their muddy creation. Proud of their work, a true celebration.
