Hi, I'm Jessica, and I'm building my dream off-grid home on wheels to travel solo and full-time around Europe. Well, not quite solo, because my puppy Heidi will definitely be in the passenger seat. Two years ago, my partner Rissy and I had enough of spending our young years working 9-5, all of our money going to rent and bills, and barely seeing the outdoors. So we sold most of our possessions, saved up for a year, and then bought a second-hand van which we converted using reclaimed wood and natural materials. But after two years of travelling full-time and living in the most incredible places, we realised that our big van was more space than we needed, and running it was so expensive that it held us back from pursuing our individual dreams and doing solo adventures. So we sold our beloved van Bilbo and bought a much smaller van just for me, while Rissy is planning to buy a sailboat, so we can continue travelling and living a simple life off the grid. We're documenting the entire build here on YouTube, and after that we'll be sharing a mix of solo travel, sailing the seas, and travelling in my van together, exploring Europe's wildest places and mythical landscapes.
