Dr. Mae Jemison Went to Outer Space ｜ Learn + Sing for Kids

Hi friends, it's Miss Katie, and today I want to tell you about Dr. Mae Jemison. Let me show you a picture of her. Dr. Mae Jemison. What is she wearing? A space suit. And what is she holding right there? A helmet. What do you think her job is? An astronaut. She's an astronaut. When she was very young, Dr. Mae Jemison loved science, and she studied and studied and studied hard in school, and she became a doctor, and then later on she became an astronaut, and she went all the way up into outer space. Here's a picture of her in outer space. See, she's floating up in her spacecraft, in the spaceship. That's pretty cool. And now she doesn't go up into outer space anymore, but she works to use science and technology to help people solve some very big problems in our world. I wanted to do a song about Dr. Mae. Dr. Mae said I know just the place. I'm going to fly to outer space. Dr. Mae said I know just the place. I'm going to fly to outer space in five, four, three, two, one. Dr. Mae said I know just the place. I'm going to fly to outer space. Dr. Mae said I know just the place. I'm going to fly to outer space in five, four, three, two, one. Dr. Mae said I know just the place. I'm going to fly to outer space. Dr. Mae said I know just the place. I'm going to fly to outer space in five, four, three, two, one. And then she can come all the way back down to earth. Well, thanks for doing that song with me, friends, and I'll talk to you soon. Bye!
