6 Things to Know Before You Buy a Suzuki DRZ400
Thinking about buying a Suzuki DRZ400? There are a lot of things to know about the bike that your typical DRZ400 review won't tell you. Whether you're in the market for a Suzuki DRZ400S or a Suzuki DRZ400SM, there are six things that you should be aware of. In my time with this amazing dual sport bike, I've discovered some insights about owning the bike that can help you make your decision and know what owning a DRZ400 is truly like. If you buy a DRZ400S, the first thing most people inevitably mention is the lack of a 6th gear and the fact that the bike has a carburetor and isn't fuel injected. Another thing to know is that the Suzuki DRZ community is thriving, but also slightly different than the communities surrounding other dual sport motorcycles. The design of the DRZ is a bit unique, with some unusual quirks specific to the bike and its 20 year old design. Fellow DRZ owners are very enthusiastic about certain DRZ mods like the 3x3 and rejetting the carb, and they'll ask you about them specifically all the time. The bike has awesome low end torque, and honestly is a super awesome all around fantastic motorcycle, versatile and capable in basically every situation.
