Today was a special and peaceful day in the forest cabin I built from scratch three years ago. I started the day by building a decorative water well in my garden using an old barrel. This rustic addition fits perfectly with the natural surroundings of the cabin.
Later, I deepened my outdoor fire pit and cooked a whole duck stuffed with rice by hanging it over the flames — a traditional, slow-cooked bushcraft-style meal. The aroma filled the forest!
But the real miracle happened in the middle of it all… I discovered three baby birds that had fallen to the ground. I gave them a few ant eggs and kept them safe. Hours later, I noticed a nest made inside a glass on top of my outdoor kitchen. I gently placed the chicks back in the nest, and the next morning, I was lucky enough to see their mother return to feed them.
