A lively love story based on commedia dell’arte, Harlequinade was originally created in 1900 by Marius Petipa, the choreographer behind timeless classics like Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty. Drawing from Petipa’s original choreography notation, Alexei Ratmansky—former director of the Bolshoi Ballet and artist in residence at American Ballet Theatre—brings a loving and humorous revival to the stage.
