IMMEDIATE IMPACT 🤩_ Mike Yastrzemski HR in his FIRST ROYALS AT-BAT

They had him first and third no outs and it was amazing job by all of them and Freddie got to catch him his last game as a royal that was fitting all one on Mike Yastrzemski two balls and no strikes told you Tyler Hinneman that catcher back there he comes out of there ready to fire he's quick got a quick release and very accurate with his throws so my count might try to rip off a bag which would be his 20th if he can pull it off two and one Yastrzemski was number five with the Giants so he recognized immediately that that number was not available on Kansas City so he went with number 18 that was his number in college at Vanderbilt that's a strike and Mike Cal is going to be safe on a bad throw by Hinneman that's a break for the royals as Michael did not get a great jump and the royals have a runner at second with one out either that or it was a delay steal let's see yeah he delayed him that was nice good delay delay steals trick the catcher and that's what probably what upset his throat and look at he slid underneath the tag great look there by the second base umpire Bruce Strickland all good 20 a steal and you're Yastrzemski hits it to deep right field and gone in his first Royals at bat way to go J.J. Piccolo that run and home run is yours thank you two to one tremendous trade already how about that right now he waited it out he got him a pitch from Boston not sure exactly what it was but he drove it in nice and that brought some energy back to that dugout the Royals come right back and lead to one so we were showing you that he has over 100 home runs in his career but this is his first big league team outside of the Giants so you get back to my first game with a new team my first hit with a new team pretty awesome and his first hit with the new team is a two run home run that's how you handle the split finger when it stays up that's exactly what you do wait for that cookie man nice job you can't do anything better for your teammates to love you something like that Randall Gritchick who spent four years here in Toronto rounds out to third and there are two down came out that looked like a split finger or a change of even I don't know I didn't see the split finger grip on it but look at that stiff front leg there great balance with the swing came down through the ball stayed on top and drove it up with a little backspin just enough to get it over the wall there.
