Welcome back to The Busy Baker. Today on the channel we're making this delicious slow cooker
pot roast recipe. It's one of my family's favorite go-to easy meals and we know you are going to love
it as much as we do. We're going to start with a three to three and a half pound beef chuck roast.
You can also use a round roast and we're going to rub that with some Dijon mustard, about a
tablespoon or so, making sure to coat the entire outside of the roast in the mustard. After that
we'll season with a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of pepper, a teaspoon of garlic powder, and some
smoked paprika, about a half a teaspoon of that, and rub that into the roast on all sides. This is
what's going to give the roast its flavor as it cooks so be sure not to skip this step. Next add
three cups of beef broth to your slow cooker and then add three tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce,
one cup of red wine, and add the dried herbs as well. A tablespoon of dried thyme and two teaspoons
of dried rosemary and a few bay leaves along with about six cloves of garlic. Give that a really
good stir until everything is combined and then add the veggies in. About two pounds of baby potatoes,
one or one and a half pounds of carrots, and some onions, and then add the beef that you've rubbed
with all of that flavor. Place the lid on top and cook on high for about six to seven hours. You'll
know that the roast is done when the meat is absolutely fall apart tender. It will fall apart
very very easily. You can remove the roast from the slow cooker and then strain out the vegetables
as well onto a platter and you'll be left with what I like to call liquid gold. A very very
flavorful liquid that you can easily turn into gravy and the instructions on how to do that are
in the description box below. So before you serve be sure to shred the beef so it's easy to serve
and then you can serve it alongside the vegetables and the gravy as well. This is one of my favorite
go-to easy meals for a weeknight and I hope you love it as much as I do and if you do feel free
