Returning to the big screen after four years, Li Bingbing plays chief flight attendant Zhou Yan in the film. The character appears on screen wearing a mask for most of the movie, yet even with her face covered, her tension and restraint, her concern and sorrow—every emotion she seeks to convey—comes through clearly.
