Tribute to Falun Gong — Remarks by International Strategy Expert Rick Fisher at the D.C. Anti-Persecution Rally

On July 17, 2025, marking the 26th anniversary of the persecution of Falun Gong, 1,500 Falun Gong practitioners and supporters from the eastern United States gathered on the National Mall near Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., calling to “Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong.” More than a dozen U.S. officials, human rights leaders, and advocates delivered speeches in support of Falun Gong.

Ahead of the rally, officials from the U.S. State Department and over ten bipartisan members of Congress issued statements condemning the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution and demanding its immediate end.

Rick Fisher, Senior Fellow at the International Assessment and Strategy Center, said at the rally:

“It is an incredible honor to stand before you again. Over the past 26 years, you have challenged and resisted this criminal organization—the CCP—and only you, your families, and friends truly understand the sacrifices you have made.”

“I cannot personally describe what you have endured, but I want to express my gratitude for your steadfast resolve. You have bravely confronted this organization and never wavered in the face of its cruel, distorted, and barbaric persecution.”

“You face a regime that oppresses its people and seeks global dominance. I pay tribute to you and thank you. I hope you will ultimately achieve victory in China and around the world.”
