This ten-gallon fish bowl is the best fish bowl I've ever seen. In fact, it's the only fish bowl I've seen that I'm comfortable celebrating in a video. The key to this tank's success is the size and filtration. A fish bowl needs to be larger than you might think for one mathematical reason, water surface area. Because a ten gallon sphere has less water surface area than a ten gallon cube, any spherical tank will have less gas exchange than a similar sized rectangular prism. Less less gas exchange means the water column can support less life. The bigger the spherical tank, the better off you'll be. The bowl I've linked above is the largest one on the market.

To help your fishbowl stay stable, it's also important to include filtration. The tank in this video has a hidden submerged filter. In a few shots you may be able to see it hiding behind the central wood. I've included a link to this filter as well.

Please don't try to recreate a tank like this in a smaller sphere!
