REVEALING MY FIRST SOLO APARTMENT IN LA! �� move-in day vlog + tour

We got the keys. Hi guys, it's Mikayla. Welcome to my first solo apartment. This is gonna be the first look at the apartment. Why is the fridge dented? We're moving in today and I found some questionable things. She left like command hooks on the wood down there. It's not even finished. Like the kitchen island has damages. Why is this there? They did not care about finishes. Hopefully I can figure out how to decorate this place cause honestly I'm concerned. Subscribe and let's get into it. Hi guys. I'm currently at the village right now. I'm about to go get some sunlight because I need some energy because it's move-in day. I'm so excited. Get a drink. I also just went to Dulce and ate lunch. Hi. Could I do the Wolverine, vanilla protein added? Way, yeah. There's copyright music, love you Tate, but like you're not great for my wallet. I just ran into some subscribers in Sun Life. Hi. Hi, I'm Sydney. I'm Sophia. I'm Isabel. They're doing the USC summer program for film. And then they're also doing like a Warner Brothers summer program. So we have the film girlies here. Get the permits and all that stuff. It's so hard to get permits quickly. All right, well you guys have a good time and good luck with the rest of the program. Those were the sweetest girls. Oh my gosh. So if you didn't know, like if you're a high schooler you can come to USC and do like summer classes here. So anyway, I'm headed to Target right now. I got my drink. I have to get toilet paper and then I also have to get shaving cream. My armpits are, they look like carpets. Okay, so we need to get that handled. Okay, I'm just leaving the village. Tell me why I got hit on, on my way out of Target. He was a light-skinned guy. So basically it looks like me. One, I have a boyfriend. So he stopped me. He was like, wait, wait, wait, excuse me, miss. You're really beautiful. Like, do you have Instagram? And I was like, yeah, I do. But fair warning, I do have a boyfriend. He's like, oh, well, you know, when I get to the NBA like that might change your mind. I was like, okay. But one thing about me, I cannot date people who look like they could be my brother. Light-skinned guys, while I can appreciate their beauty, you look like my little brother. You look like my older brother. Like I cannot do that. I can't have a siblings or dating situation. I also despise athletes. In my experience, they're very egotistical. I'm very happy with my bae. Comment if you can date someone who like looks like you because I don't know, I personally can't. It's a little weird for me. Okay, y'all, I'm at my apartment. Not kidding when I say this, I genuinely have no furniture to put in my apartment. The apartment that I'm in now came fully furnished. So this bed and this desk are property of the apartment. I have to turn in my keys in the morning. So I am gonna stay the night here and then leave super early, take all this stuff to the apartment. But I think for now, the only daunting thing that I have right now is this, my mini fridge and this thing. I'm gonna have to take it apart. Does this work right now? Okay, it works. So I have this drill. I'm gonna take it apart and throw away the wood. And then hopefully I can carry this mini fridge downstairs. Wrong way. Okay, I don't think that's it. Let me see if I can do it with my hand. Okay, yeah, just as I suspected, it's these things, these hooks that go on to like the pins. Okay, you can see in there, there's like a screw. So I'll be handling that. But I also have my rug in here that I never got yet. I feel like I should get this rug professionally washed because somebody did throw up on it. I just don't feel comfortable putting my feet on it because so many other people did. I definitely am gonna take this to a cleaning company. There's so much dust. I'm gonna finish up with that and then rush over to my new apartment because I'm so excited to show you guys. And I don't want the sun to go down. I just got to my apartment. The echo is gonna be so bad because there's no furniture in here. But this is gonna be the first look at the apartment. I won't be able to show outside the windows, unfortunately, but maybe I'll blur it just so you can see a little bit. I can't believe it's finally time for the reveal. Okay, don't mind my stuff because I just threw it down. Entryway, which is huge. There's definitely enough space for me to put a bench, maybe a wall mirror so I can check the outfit before I leave for the day. Maybe a little tray for keys, lip gloss on the way out. But I definitely want to make an entryway area. Then, oh, don't even look over there. I can't believe this is my place. After the entryway, there's a storage area. I'll probably put all my cleaning supplies in here. Huge, fits me. After that, we have the kitchen. Whole kitchen island. I'm just looking out and I'm like, oh my God. Okay, kitchen island, hello. Then we have the fridge. Look at how clean and sleek this fridge is. So nice. The sink. So I'll just be getting ready for the morning. And this is my kitchen. Ooh, wait, mama, look at the body. Okay, Mikaela enough. I'm actually in here. I'm actually in my own apartment. Currently in the living room. The living room is right off the kitchen. I would show outside the windows, but I can't. But this is the whole living room area. It is. Honestly, I have some problems with the living room. I didn't realize they were problems until recently. It even has this little window corner right here, which I think is so cute. The only problem is I have no idea how to stage my furniture because I can't put a TV right there, but I also don't want to put a couch to block the windows. And then this is the other side. I want to put a TV here, but I can't put a couch here. So the only place to put a couch is like right up against the windows or against this pillar here, looking towards the windows. Or I put a couch this way in the middle of the room, but then that doesn't leave that much space over here. I don't know. I'm like actually kind of freaking out about the design stuff. I'm gonna have to figure out the best way to decorate this area. I wouldn't mind putting a couch here, just looking towards the window and then an armchair maybe there. I think I'm way too worried about the living room and I actually need to just buy a bed so I can sleep in here. I love this wall right here because I feel like this is a perfect place for a mirror. And honestly, I do want a writing desk area, which I think would be really cute for this area. Like if I had a quaint little desk right here and a view, what could be here? Bar cart or coffee cart, because this is like the kitchen area. Yeah, if I got a couch. Guys, I really gotta think about this. Next we have my room. This is what it looks like. Now we're facing the other way. Okay, so I'm in the living room and this is me walking into the bedroom. Bed is gonna have to go here. It's not that big of a room. But the thing is, I can't speak because I've seen all the New York girlies in their teeny apartments. I'm blessed for this. I'm not even gonna complain after seeing those. Another area, this is to the bathroom. This is a pocket door. I can close that if I want to. Walk-in closet. Walk-in freaking closet, bro. I could even fit a dresser here. Oh my gosh. Okay. Washer, dryer. In unit, boys. I feel so blessed right now. This is crazy. Then we have the bathroom. One thing about me, I'm never taking a bath. So I won't be using that. I think baths are kind of disgusting. But there is a bathtub, which I don't prefer. I'd rather just have like a walk-in shower. Little pocket for skincare and stuff. Maybe put some eucalyptus up there. There's a rack right above the toilet. Okay. I'm so happy. I think this is the perfect first apartment. It's not too much space. I'm not gonna have to go buy a dining table. I can just get bar stools, a couch, a desk, and a bed. And then I'm basically furnished. And that's all that we need to deal with for senior year. I'm very excited about this place. I can't even believe it, honestly. In this apartment, I most definitely feel like a senior. I feel like an adult. And this would not be possible without you guys. Like I'm so, so grateful. I cannot wait to make so much content, go out with a bang for my senior year. School starts in one month. Hopefully I can figure out how to decorate this place. Cause honestly I'm concerned with the living room situation. But I'm telling myself not to worry about the living room. The living room will be fine. I need to have a bed, at least. A bed and then some bar stools. Like kitchen and bedroom need to be first priority. And then I can figure out the living room. I'm gonna get some photos. Then I guess I'm gonna go through and do inspections. I already see some things that are an issue. Like why is the fridge dented? We have some inspection stuff to fill out, but. I'll see you guys. Good morning. I have to be out of my apartment in four hours. It's 7.51. I have to turn in my keys at 12. Last time ever getting ready in this bedroom. I feel like sometimes I don't stop to just think about where I am. I always think about what's next. We've come a long way, obviously. Morning skincare done. No makeup today. And gym shorts and a shirt because I still am moving stuff. Still gonna get dirty. Okay, I just took the mini fridge down. Tell me why I like get to the bottom floor where my garage is. And there's someone else who comes from another elevator and they see me with the mini fridge and this man grabs it. And he's like, just grab the door for me. That was the sweetest thing. I hope he has the most blessed day ever. He carried it all the way to my car. I was waddling it, sort of like, you know, like the Mario Brothers whomps. Like, it was taking me a while. I also went downstairs to the lobby. There's no one in right now because it's so early. And so I can't get a moving bin because they keep them like in the lobby behind the locked doors and you have to turn in your ID to get one. So I just wanna just be carrying more stuff and making multiple trips down. So I don't wanna bring my vlog camera because I need my hands. I might roll things on this chair, like some of my bedding stuff. See, it would have been so much easier if I had a bin to put all this in. All right, I'm gonna take this, do my final scan to the apartment and we'll be on our way. I'll see you guys at the new place. I do have to inspect the apartment to make sure that there's no damages. I already see some dents in the fridge. So I will have to mark that down. So we're gonna go through together and inspect the apartment or doorstop and ceiling. Seems fine. There is a scratch on the door. I'm also gonna take photos. Let's make a new photo album inspection. Window screen, curtains and blinds. Okay, I'm gonna test the curtains. So far they look good. This one goes down a lot. Okay, closet in the kitchen area. Good. Light fixtures. Oh, they dim. There is some exposed wiring right there, which is strange. We're gonna test each of the outlets. Good. Also good. Works. There are scratches under here. And why are there command hooks? So we left command hooks on the wood down there. It's not even finished. Good. The kitchen island has damages. Good. I can tell when my phone vibrates that it works. Good. All of the electrical works in the kitchen and living room. I'm gonna mark down that there are scratches. The fact that the bottom of the island is just exposed wood is crazy. Now we have to check the refrigerator, which has dents in it. That's another one. On both sides too. Does this work? Why is it locked? I'll have to ask about that. Okay. Seems fine. As you can see, there's like, what do you mean, why is this there? They did not care about finishes. Okay. Exhaust fan. Looks good. Yeah, it's definitely getting warm. Bedroom. I'm gonna check the outlets. Vents seem to be working. It's nice and cool in here. Oh. I didn't know there was a light for in there. Okay, cool. Light, nice. Okay. Oh. A small, like, dent in the wall. That seems to be working. Okay, let's see if the water gets hot. Okay, yeah, the water gets hot.
