Don't lose your energy. A message of hope from Spain's future queen,
Princess Leonor de la Roja, who gave everything in a historic UEFA Women's Euro 2025 final.
The St. Jacob Park Stadium in Basel became the setting for a royal encounter,
as Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia of Spain appeared in public for the first
time with Prince William of Wales and Princess Charlotte of the UK.
The Spanish royals, arriving from Mallorca,
shared the stands with UEFA officials and their British counterparts.
Before kick-off, Leonor told RTVE,
It's a privilege to watch our national team. They're united, full of energy and confident.
Hopefully, we'll secure that triple victory after the World Cup and Nations League.
Infanta Sofia added,
I hope to relive what I experienced in Sydney with my mother two years ago.
It's an incredible generation of footballers.
Dressed in a navy pinstripe blazer and white outfit,
Leonor wore a heart-shaped Tiffany pendant gifted during her recent visit to Girona.
Sofia wore a beige oversized jacket, white trousers and a red scarf, the colors of Spain.
But after a fierce battle and an emotional penalty shootout,
it was England who claimed victory, dashing Spain's hopes of the triple crown.
In the presidential box, the royals shared emotional highs and lows.
Prince William, previously seen during the Men's Euro 2024 loss to Spain,
now witnessed redemption through England's women's team.
Despite the defeat, Leonor and Sofia greeted La Roja's players and staff with pride,
showing once again the Spanish royal family's
unwavering support for women's sports, resilience and national unity.
