TIBETAN COFFEE SHOP

Hey guys, you know me and you know how much I love coffee and today right now I'm in Xi'an, China, and I found an amazing coffee shop and I want to check it out with you guys So tune in my name is Mary Summers, and this is the way of China. Let's go Okay, I'm not really sure where to go It's like somewhere here, but it's supposed to be inside some building like it's not supposed to be very obvious While I'm looking for it, I would love for you guys to appreciate this super ancient wall of Xi'an. Xi'an is actually One of the oldest cities in China and it used to be a capital for a very very long time If you're not sure what Xi'an is or where it is Xi'an is the place where the Terracotta Army is located and also the first Chinese Emperor is buried here And there are like tons of historical places so I've been here many times and I love the food. I love the people here And I love all the history and culture behind it But today I want to check local coffee shops And I'm not really sure where I'm going here Okay, it's supposed to be here Not sure if it's the right way There's like no pavement here for pedestrians Someone's household Okay, I think it's here This is like very very authentic area Foreigners don't come here. I don't think so Okay, apparently I went the wrong way and The locals they were like, where are you going? And then one old lady. She was like, she's probably going to a coffee shop. I think they're constantly meeting people who are like getting lost here because it's I mean no surprise It's a little hidden But they showed me the right way. So hopefully I'm gonna find it Okay, I think it's here let's see I'm not really sure but oh my god Okay, I think people around here they know that everybody is always looking for a coffee shop So there they keep pointing me in direction. So yeah, I think I'm good. Let's see Okay, I'm here but I'm not sure where to go Okay, I think there were some pictures and I think this is the entrance Okay, I think I can see something Okay, let's check it out hi Wow, it's pretty big. Oh, wow. Look at that amazing Oh And we can see the wall Okay, guys, I made it and I'm super happy. I chose this place This is definitely way more interesting and special than most of the other coffee shops out there So it's a Tibetan themed coffee shop and for me personally, I have never been to Tibet But I've always wanted to get in touch with the culture and check how it is So as you can see the writing behind me is is not the Mandarin characters These are Tibetan Characters, so it's very different language And also the styling you can see like if any of you have been to Tibet before the Potala Palace and you know Those places like it's all down to that style. And also I found out that nearby there is a Tibetan style Temple as well. It is very very authentic I I'm sure that the owners are from Tibet maybe from Tibetan background. So let's try the the coffee Yeah I'm just talking to the owner right now. He's from Tibet and he opened this like Tibetan themed place How long have you been running this? Two years I've been here a few times before but today is the first time I found this place I'm looking forward to it My latte is already here. I'm gonna check it out. It looks very nice very authentic I'm gonna check it out and tell you guys what the taste by the way, this place is absolutely gorgeous. I love the style of it Very authentic very chill and also we can see the wall right here and I think we're lucky with the weather as well. Okay, let me try this out. Oh, yeah, sure Let me try this out Mmm, it's without milk. I sort of expected it to be with What kind of milk do they have into that it's like a different type of milk because they have a different milk Goats or yak or something like that. But uh, yeah, this is also really good. And I love the like I love the style of it It's definitely something really interesting Presentation is cool. Yeah, what's that colorful thing? They gave you I think it's like from like Tibetan style thing I'm not sure what it's for but in Tibet they like to use these kind of colors If you can see like the table and like the surroundings they're using a lot of that Yeah, and it comes with like little cookies and stuff and the coffee is a really good quality so yeah, definitely recommend Mmm, I think this is with pineapple Mmm Wow, I mean it looks pretty simple I thought I was just some cookie it was really good I've also decided to try Some snags they have like a local I'm not really sure. I think it's like made with some sort of yogurt and there's cheese on top and there's like Some jam. Let me show you how it looks like Looks really interesting So I'm gonna try this one out and the best part is We get all of these we can take these away With us. These are like little gifts that we get from from this coffee shop. It's very cute these Writings are really pretty So just to see the difference here are the Characters the Chinese characters and this is the Tibetan writing Yeah, really interesting now let's try I like all the stuff here is like made with wood and Look at this cup It's really pretty all the details Love that. Okay. So this is how it looks like. It's some sort of yogurt with cheese and Let's try the yogurt itself first Okay, let's see how it feels Okay, it's just a regular yogurt without sugar which is really important It's not so easy to find yogurt without sugar you can't But it's not that common here Okay, let's mix it with Jam let's mix it with jam and cheese That's an interesting jam What It tastes like it's made with rose. Oh my god, so good Okay, I mixed the whole thing. I think it tastes better this way and I'm gonna add I think this is sugar. I don't need that. I like these things. I'm gonna add them on top I don't know. What's that? But I'm adding that too and these little chips Hmm Yay Nice. Okay, so I spent a beautiful afternoon here It was nothing but great vibes amazing food amazing snacks coffee The style the view the service. I am really happy with my choice today.
