Concrete House by Atelier Garcia is an innovative residence that blends the strength of concrete with the beauty of the Colombian landscape. Perched atop a hill with breathtaking views of the Rock of Guatapé and the surrounding reservoir, this house adopts a triangular shape that follows the natural topography. The structure offers three main spatial experiences: a concrete plinth seamlessly integrated with the ground and gardens, a transparent upper floor that frames the landscape, and an open rooftop with a 360-degree panoramic view. Designed to optimize natural light and cross-ventilation, this house strikes a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. Its social area is supported by three unique pillars—a triangular fireplace, a hollow column for storage, and a spiral staircase with a skylight—creating a dynamic architectural experience. Overall, this home demonstrates how design not only provides comfort but also fosters a deep emotional connection with nature.
