Welcome to the most beautiful place in Hokkaido—Furano and Biei 🌸💜
Today, we’re taking a slow-travel journey through Japan’s most colorful destinations, packed with lavender fields, creamy soft serve, flower-field chairlifts, artisan cheese tastings, stunning mountaintop views, and hidden gems that will take your breath away.
▶️ We start early in Furano, exploring quiet empty streets, hopping on the train to Naka-Furano, and visiting the iconic Farm Tomita—home to Hokkaido’s most famous lavender fields.
🎢 We ride the chairlift over a sea of flowers, taste fresh lavender soft serve, and reflect on impermanence and beauty surrounded by butterflies, bumblebees, and purple blooms.
🚆 I’ll also share tips on how to get here from Sapporo using the seasonal Lavender Express train, how to save money with the Furano/Biei rail pass, and why this region is a must on your Japan travel list.
